I'm really excited about McCown, he's been balling in camp and already has a connection with V-Jax. Mike Evans though :smh:, I read that his body language has been poor and he dropped too many passes. Wish Sammy dropped to us

Are the Raiders actually giving Carr a legit shot at being a starter? I fully expected him to sit like Bortles is.

I actually think this QB class is underrated. I really like Bortles, Carr, and Bridgewater and I think they're going to do good things in this league. Manziel on the other hand...

I don't think Bortles or Carr have a chance to start the year but I'm sure they start at some point

They have been my top QB's from this draft and well I loved Johnny Football in college but never bought into him in the big league

Derek Carr has always looked good on tape, at practice, and against the Wyoming's of the world. Can't wait to see what happens when he faces an NFL defense.

I'm sure he'll have no problem facing down the rush. His older brother was an experienced NFL quarterback and will have lots of valuable advice to impart.

jk

You really like to slander Carr at every chance you get

does that make Carr the next Brady???

Never understood using the term slander when pointing out a players faults?

Slander is :

"______ isn't very good!"

Why not?

"I just don't like his face"

What fault was pointed out besides sarcasm towards his college career?

Carr has been doing well in camp. Hasn't given a reason yet as to why he can't succeed.

If you want to talk about not having to face NFL pressure, many QBs face supposed NFL-type defenses in the SEC and remain scrubs. Carr has the skills and physical ability to succeed, and he'll have a line that should keep him upright longer than his Fresno St. line could.

dont worry guys, carr will be just fine

texans should of drafted him jj.

The point is that you can't predict a QB's future based on who his competition was in college. Evaluate his skill set, physical ability and mental aptitude/durability and then put him behind center. If you didn't you end up having SEC QB's throwing picks for every NFL team each Sunday.

Your right, you can't, but you can use that as a basis for evaulation.

I mean scouts do that, don't they?

Jason White should be on his way to a great career in the NFL based off what he did in college against top defenses

Carr slander

Dude was the first pick on a expansion team! no line, no offense, no nothing, he was given the keys to a whole new franchise! that's so much pressure for any QB, he was sacked a billion times every single game. dude never had a shot. i bet in the right situation Carr would have been a pretty good player.

We are talking about Derek

But I agree with everything you said about David

Don't know if brought up today but valid point made on the herd today. How come so many players decided to stand up and express their disgust with Riley cooper over his use of terminology but no player has come out and expressed their disgust ith what transpired between rice and his wife ...

Makes sense herd would bring up that idiotic "point"

Maybe he should've brought up ohn wall dead father again or blame Sean Taylor for his own death

**** that ****

He's the sports version of them shock jock political guys who hype up conservative America

I remember another guy who was drafted for his skill set...

Gabbert has prototypical size and excellent speed for the position. Shows the ability to make the right pre-snap reads. Possesses a quick release and has the arm strength to make all the throws. Well-balanced passer that rarely misses on short-to-intermediate throws. Extremely mobile to extend plays and fast enough to move the chains. Vocal leader and hard worker.

Like I said, I'm very interested in seeing Derek Carr at the next level.
