 :smh: You serious?

Cooper used a word that was used to black men before they were hung or beaten to death for hundreds of years and oh yeah he plays in a league full of black men. Can't even compare the 2.

Ray rice physically beat a woman where the other indivual used a word ... Your right can't compare the two.

I am surprised no player has come out and said anything about this, I too agree with Colin, and I don't always agree with him and am a ravens fan.

Don't know if brought up today but valid point made on the herd today. How come so many players decided to stand up and express their disgust with Riley cooper over his use of terminology but no player has come out and expressed their disgust ith what transpired between rice and his wife ...

agreed with this 100%

beating a woman versus a word

Both were wrong though Ray's was obviously worse.

Wife beating has its own historical significance.

Not familiar with the Ray Rice case but wasn't it said that his wife attacked him first?

Could be the reason why his suspension was so short since she supposedly went to Goodell with him to plead his case...

I'm tired of Ray Rice being portrayed as if he just swung on her.

She attacked him and he dropped her.

Wrong but it's totally different than a dude that beat up his wife because he had a bad day at work.

Personally I am indifferent on suspension because who is to say how many games will make this all "better". I am just somewhat surprised at how many players jumped to the mic to say how disgusted they were with cooper but no one seems to have the same passion when it comes to this situation.

Ray Rice might as well had put two bullets in that girl head. Because that's how the media is treating it.

That's my point. People are making him seem like a habitual wife beater on some Ike Turner type steez.

Just seems like an isolated incident to me...

What the hell is taking NFL Network so long to fire Warren Sapp?

Happy to see Strahan and Brooks going in there today.

Does everyone think Aeneas is a HOFer?

Aeneas is the definition of borderline.

Walter Jones the best player of the class.

So using a word is more offensive than knocking out a woman?

NT logic at it's finest

abuse against women and a racist rant, like some have said, both terribly wrong. but at the end of the day, you can't compare oppressions and say one is worse than the other.

and maybe black NFL players are more indignant to Riley's rant because uhmm...they're BLACK. could there be more of a vested interest because they, along with other people of color, face racism?

Yeah... That's a good point. Not a bad or good thing, just how it is.
