trying to say marshawn should get the max fine every single week. Typical cry baby behavior found in the city of brotherly love, hell from yourself infact

I love watching these so called journalists complain and get angry over an athlete not answeing their questions. You see the true selfishness come out any time 90% of them discuss lynch. Hiding behind some "oh noez what about the fans" BS

Had an off day and just watched the second half of last nights game. Manning looks washed but that could have mostly been the terrible weather. Crazy how this year started off with the brady is done meme

It tells me both (especially Manning) are closer than we may think.....end of an era soon

And then Ben is the best QB in the league :smokin

 mostly jokes

How has Chip Kelly remained above criticism? In what turned out to be probably one of the worst decisions of the off-season, he lets go of Desean Jackson. Nothing more than pure arrogance in that decision with his whole "system over talent" mantra. Think it's 12 catches over 20 yards this season for Jackson while the Eagles have a combined 12 total as a team. I believe Jaws provided the video of how defenses have adjusted their scheme this season vs last season in regards to the Eagles not having him.

Just a poor decision overall.

That has been discussed recently. I know NT hates first take but they've actually brought it up numerous times the last few weeks how costly it was for Chip to let go of Desean.

I beleive Stephen A was the one to first bring it to attention a few weeks ago when the Eagles started their losing spurt.

But yeah, it can definitely be highlighted more by others.

I think the bigger "on-field" travesty has been Chips play calling.

I'll never forget that game against the Niners where Eagles had 1st and Goal on the 1 and he refused to just line up an I formation or single back formation and just pound it in with Shady with 4 tries.

A whole bunch of gimmick shot gun draws and play actions... Cost him that game.

And he continued to abandon the run game numerous times throughout the rest of the season.

can someone please explain how exactly letting go of desean was a mistake.. I get not getting compensation for him, but letting him go

the comment is made without further explanation

I can post vines and/or all 22 angles for people who do not believe our WRs were getting open.. our problem was the QBs, not the WRS

is it really a "gimmick" though.. the RB is still lined up the same distance from the line of scrimmage.. it's just where the QB is situated.. and we don't have a fullback on the roster

and polk has been our best back in those sorts of situations

It's a very simple explanation.
Without Desean's speed, safeties aren't afraid of getting beat so they step up 5 feet forward and make it tougher for a QB like Foles or Sanchez to thread needles.

Your receivers being "open" isn't good enough if your QB is Mark Sanchez and he sees safeties roaming around the 15-20 yard pass areas.

Why do you think he checked it down the middle to Ertz 15 TIMES this last Sunday? That's all the defense was giving him.

If Desean was there the safeties would be 5 feet back, more concerned with the deep bombs, allowing the QB more windows to throw through.

Sanchez and Foles ain't elite enough to pick apart the kind of windows QB's like Brady, Brees, or Rodgers would with safeties up 5 feet.

You can post vines, "stats", and coaches film from just about every QB in the league who has missed open WRs. You don't honestly believe the Bradys, Mannings, and the rest don't miss open WRs either right?

Facts remains that defenses clearly have adjusted to not having to worry about Desean Jackson blowing past them on the outside. Evident by Riley Cooper having such a horrific season without Jackson on the other side.

Plus like somebody else said, his play-calling has been shaky in the red-zone and short yardage situations. Andy Reid type shaky.

andy reid refused to run the ball at all.. we ran the ball in those situations.. just from a shotgun formation

which again, we don't have a fullback on the roster.. so the RB is lined up literally the same distance from the line of scrimmage as he would be if the QB was under center

defenses adjusted to the quarterbacks.. sanchez didn't take the deeper throws available within the offense.. that's all foles did

isn't particularly hard to figure out

Desean Jackson went over 1000 yards (averaging 20ypc) with HORRID QB play all year. To think he wouldn't have helped the Eagles offense with Sanchez/Foles is insane. He certainly would have made life much easier for everyone on the offense. He's the best deep threat in the league and was let go over some BS. We had an awful year in DC, but Jackson was probably the only bright spot on offense.

and how would you describe the QBs for the eagles this year?

maclin had a better year.. Mathews had a pretty good rookie year.. ertz put up pretty good numbers even though he wasn't used as much as he should have been

Obviously they took a step backwards in comparison to 2013, but you're flat out kidding yourself if you don't think Jackson would have helped. When you don't have to account for Jackson in the offense, think about how much different opposing DC's adjust their game plan? Jackson makes life THAT much easier for everyone on the field due to the fact that he's a threat to go to the house everytime he touches the rock. It's that simple. Chip ****** up. I know you don't want to admit it, but it seems like everyone outside of Philly understands this.

Yes Maclin had a better year...

because he tore his acl last season.

better year than desean

I think we should have gotten compensation for him.. if we could get a 3rd/4th for Bryce brown, I think we could have gotten something for desean

our QBs have 35 turnovers in 15 games

most of the pictures I posted above were turnovers (the ones where guys are wide open and QB has a clear pocket to make a play and/or step up to make a play).. not sure how much more open desean makes those guys
