Desean widens/lengthens the field for your other receivers but you still need a QB smart enough to make the right reads with good mechanical throws to capitalize. Eagles offense would've been potent with Desean though.

I think the bigger issue for the eagles offensively (other than terrible QB play), was lack of continuity along the offensive line through the first 8-9 games of the season..

which had an obvious affect on the running game.. and especially in those short yardage situations discussed above

Desean hurt but the defense was the major problem this year for the Eagles

Worst secondary in the league; Chip better learn from this

Some point I'd like to explore the 'lengthen the field' narrative and see if it is actually true

I don't even comprehend how you gameplan for defending DeSean, Maclin, Shady, Sproles, Ertz, Mathews, Cooper, Celek, Huff, Polk coming at you in waves. :smh:

5 line, 1 QB, and I have to match up with D-Jax, Maclin, Shady, Sproles, and Ertz, all one on one? :x

That's why it may not be a "need" to have a run threat at QB, but having that threat, with all those 1 on 1 matchups, you're QB could/would feast on taking off and picking up yards with everyone in coverage.

Defense and QB turnovers were a bigger issue, but letting a weapon like Jackson go, in division, for relatively nothing, was a bad move.

it was for nothing (since we cut him we cant even get a compensatory pick).. which is my issue.. plus you could have sent him out of the division

also, again Jason peters was our only healthy Olineman the whole year.. lane was suspended the first 4 games.. kelce and mathis both missed 7-8 games.. and herremans got hurt somewhere in there and was out the remainder of the season

out top backup got hurt in the final preseason game.. and we had another backup go down.. we literally took guys of the street and started them

It's older but with Pack vs Lions this weekend I came across it.  Pretty funny still.

There was a steelers one from this year... Some love song between Ben and AB... I tried to find it weeks back but couldn't.

Best of this year I think.

Found it:

Foles isn't the answer.

Eagles defense is ***. Special Teams won a couple games for this team.

Eagles could definitely use DeSean.

It's only Chip's second year. I think he gets a little too much praise but it's too early in his NFL career to knock him. He's definitely made some mistakes though with play calling and getting rid of DeSean but I don't think you can fully judge a coach until his third season.

The DeSean trade was a really bad one, but DeSean is definitely being overrated on here as well.  He is overpaid.

Chip, meanwhile, is certainly overrated, but he deserves a couple of years to really turn this team around.
