I don't think anybody in here is questioning whether Watt is inherently more valuable than the best 2 or 3 QBs in the game but when posters are saying this....
then yea I really think it should be questioned if you know what you're watching.

This

No player on defense affects the game as much as a quarterback.

No player.

While this should be true this isn't always the case.. Obviously

Look at the 2000 Ravens.. Jamal Lewis was their most important offensive player

Then you have the '99 Rams, where Marshall Faulk was the team's most important player

And while a QB is touching the ball on pretty much every offensive snap (with slight exceptions), he's not throwing it every down.. And depending on the QB, the coach can do a lot to try to minimize the impact he has on the game..

If the defensive player is playing a ton of snaps, he can easily have more positive impact on the outcome of the game

Take for example, the '91 eagles defense.. The offense was a detriment to the team.. Went through 6 QBs.. And somehow won 10 games behind the strength of that defense (no. 1 in every category with all time numbers), led by Jerome brown and reggie white

Also we all know, or should know, that the offensive tds are just part of the game.. Like charles Woodson playing offense when he won the heisman

It's padding the stats.. Joe blow public needs something to talk about so he can actually get the real recognition that he deserves

Not even gonna lie, those were all great points.

Repped for the solid rebuttal.

I think about 10 different quarterbacks could help the Texans have a better record than JJ Watt

It's the NFL, the quarterback is the key

Nah JJ Watt overrated.

Was paid too much. Never pay a player like JJ Watt that much... even though $100 million dollar contract isn't really a $100 million dollar contract... but I digress.

Does anyone here have one of the Salute to service hoodies.

How do you guys like em

Where can i cop :nerd:

You're asking me if i saw the season he's having as if he's not my favorite player

I never said anything about Wilson. I just wanted you to respond with something better about why youre laughing at Brees other than winning 4-5 years ago.

These days 4-5 years ago is pretty recent.

Bro.

If you wanna trade watt for drew. Go ahead.

The jj watt led texans have a better record then the Brees led saints.

I personally wouldn't do that trade.

4-5 years ago yea.

But the past 2 seasons Drew has played a lot of stat filling football.

I wouldn't.

I just wanted to see real reasoning, and you posted real reasoning now.

And I agree

Merry X-mas brah :nthat:

Russ is a top 10 quarterback and they would still have Arian Foster

You have to think that Clowney will be at the very least a solid starter

Im not saying Wilson is a better player at his position

The quarterback position just has a big impact on winning games

I would probably trade Watt for about 10 different quarterbacks

I'm probably the biggest Manziel fan on here lol

Just find people wanting to write him off after 2 games with a ****** Browns team is hilarious.
Im a Manziel fan too

I wore my Nike Money Manziel today a matter a fact lol

I just hope he puts his head to the books and gets the nod next year

So you rather have the 8th, 9th,10th best Qb in the league than the best defensive player in the league period.

It all starts with the QB. Plain and simple. Fill everything else around him.
