One blatantly bad call means we won because of officiating?

Dudes still gotta make plays. The Lions could've stopped the Cowboys on that last drive. They could've scored on their last drive and Stafford fumbled twice. They had every opportunity to score more than 3 points in the second half.

It's easy to lay blame elsewhere, but Detroit had opportunities and couldn't convert.

There was a horrible call against them that instantly changed the probability into favor of the other team, but they still could have won if they did certain things?

Yes, that's technically true...

Hey buc em buc em

Heard you guys are interviewing Greg Roman to take over the offense.

Hope that doesn't work out, for your guys' sake.

Yeahhhh I'm not too big of a fan of some of the guys we're even spending time to interview with.

I think we're going to hire Trestman or Dirk Koetter though.

Marinelli will be probably be on our staff on the defensive side of the ball as well.

I can't believe they took that PI away

And they have the nerve to say these were the "All Star refs" at the start of the game

A questionable call FINALLY goes in our favor and everybody up in arms screaming "conspiracy" :smh:

Lions had chances to regain control of the game and didn't. Poor officiating happens all the time, sucks when it doesn't favor your team but hey that's sports. The refs missed PLENTY of calls on both teams yesterday.

My question to Lions fans is how would you guys have felt if the flag wasn't thrown at all?

Would you rather be a Lions fan or a Cardinals fan though?
See Lions fans, it could be worse.

the biggest problem is the flag was thrown, the call was made and then they picked up the flag

there are bad calls and there was this; they should have just never thrown the flag to begin with and this wouldn't be the talk of the country

**** happens. People move on. Some don't. Which one are you?

If I HAD to be one.

Lions.

I live in AZ, there's Seahawks, Cowboys, Raiders, 49ers, and Chargers fans EVERYWHERE. Folks from here don't even want to be Cards fans.

Thank God I was born and grew up in NY. :smokin Giants all day.

All I see was all those unanswered points.

To me, it's not just one play that loses it for you, it's a series of plays that can set you up for failure.

I meant the way they lost in the Playoffs.
The Cardinals lost to a team that was 7-9.
The Lions lost because they weren't allowed to continue playing after "the flag was picked up" and were made to forfeit immediately.

You don't seem to really understand how sports and fair play work...

Is anyone crying about the refs missing Pettigrew's blatant facemask grab on that exact same play before Hitchens ran into him?

At best, it should've been offsetting penalties and played it over..

Detroit scored six points after the first quarter, looked completely inept on offense outside of one two minute drill to end the first half... And we're gonna blame it on one damn call.

Completely tilted the probability in favor of the Cowboys is overly dramatic, but I guess that's what all of this is anyways.

What's not to understand about 24-20, the team with 24 won.
Simple

Looking back at the controversial call, if Stafford doesn't throw that submarine pass as if he were pitcher, and lobs it over Hitchens' head, it'd be a different story. Blame Stafford for his awful mechanics. Bruce Carter could've prevented Detroit from getting that field goal before the second half, but we persevered as a team. Not to mention Wilbur's INT in Detroit territory and we missed a field goal. But hey, the referees are controlling the game and wearing helmets and pads.

Detroit folded as it rightfully should've. The funny thing is, throughout history, Detroit always plays Dallas well. They'd beat us two games in a row. This is the playoffs though!

Just watched my recording of the Cowboys game and dam that non-PI call must have Lions fans screaming

That Tony Romo comeback seemed routine but Detroit needs a bit of work done on the O-Line and the playcalling itself

Gonna be a fun week in NY listening to all the Cowboys and Packers fans I know talk an infinite amount of trash :pimp:

It's a damned shame that there are as many Cowboys fans in NY as there are. Hate those twerps.

I can't believe all the outrage on a non-call in which the receiver should have been called with a hands to the face mask offensive pass interference.

The ref gave the explanation, face guarding is not a penalty in the NFL. End of story.

What about that horrible call of running into the punter, or offensive pass interference on Terence Williams, or holding on Jason Witten.

Sometimes every call does not go your way, Lions fans and Eagles fans need to get over it.

In the same sequence there was also Dez coming on to the field with no helmet on yelling that should have been a penalty

Players get penalized for less stuff on the sidelines than that

Dez was not active on the play though. He's on the bench, so he doesn't need to have his helmet on. The Dallas defensive players like Hitchens have to keep their helmets on.

Dudes are funny man. Stop trying to justify/rationalize one of the most blatant displays of poor officiating in NFL history. Just say the referees goofed and keep it moving. Do at least that much for Lions fans.

Devil's advocate but is Dez on the field if there is no flag or offsetting penalties?
