That f150 comes from years together and football iq.

No knocking Jordy here man. Numbers don't lie, and he has em every year.

@stillin you gotta give Mac credit for this year. He really turned into a consistent presence and stayed on the field. Gotta duplicate it now.

Is their a position In the league as deep as receiver? Reminds me of point guards in the NBA currently. No matter your preference there's a loooong list of comparable and well qualified players at each position. So there's never really a right or wrong IMO.
I feel you.

It is super deep though... The kids coming up are

ODB, Evans, Cooks, KB etc.  Dudes all made big impact as rooks.

@fraij da 5 11  is ODB better than Jordy

Better? LIS I'd consider taking him as 1st WR if I was starting a franchise.  Physical abilities off the charts and see the gifs above... Routes, hands, explosiveness.

Though if I already have AR as my QB, I'd probably take Jordy right now simply from the F150 they already have built up.  The combo has been as reliable as any in the NFL over recent years.

Not to say that ODB couldn't build that F150 with him as well but for as much as AR spreads the ball around, Jordy's worst statistical rank is 7th in all of the major categories.

TD finally made it as a finalist for the hof. these mogs need to vote him in.

before his injury (first 4 years):

61 games
6413 yards (105 rush yards average per game)
1 td average per game (56 rush, 5 receiving)

playoffs

8 games
1140 yards (142 yards average per game)
12 tds (1.5 average per game)

3x 1st team all pro
2x supebowl champion
superbowl 32 mvp
98 nfl mvp
2000 yards rushing in 98 season. he sat out for 8 full quarters. in a sense, he rushed for 2000 yards in 14 games. if shanny didnt sit him when they were up big, he would of put the rushing record in a season out of reach.

he accomplished this in his first 4 years in the league. what could have been if he stayed healthy |I

let my dude TD in the hof :nthat:

I think that fantasy football and box scores have really ruined a lot of football discussion, especially when talking about top players at their positions.

"Numbers don't lie" and "check the stats" are easy things to say, but in reality, football is a sport that needs to be watched. If all you care about is numbers, go watch baseball. They've got loads of numbers that mean jack ****. While high numbers definitely play a part, writing a guy off because of a bad year happens way too often. Watch the games.

Calvin had a less successful regular season than Golden Tate... does that mean he's washed? Is he overrated? **** no, the dude had a down year. He's still a walking mismatch and the best WR in the game.

Stats are cool, but don't use THIS NUMBER BIGGER > SMALL PUNY NUMBER for every discussion. They have their time and place.

this. all of this. i think in any sport, stats only tell half the story. you have to follow it to really see the whole picture.

Kurt Warner makes the HoF on the first ballot and I'm gonna be Vince McMahoning around NT (and bumping some threads :nerd: ) for at least a week.

Agreed. You need to balance the eye test plus use stats as well.

Like in basketball it could be a good stats bad team type of player

On the opposite end what position has a huge shortage? RB? QB? CB?

CB in general, it's amazing how many highly ranked players from the drafts have turned out to be garbage

Claiborne is a perfect example. :smh: :smh: Could've had your boy Fletcher Cox & Bruce Irvin instead :smh: :smh: our defense would be looking a lot better had Jerry not compared this fool to Deion :rolleyes I was never sold on that move from the start.

Millner might be on his way there too, I am torn on him

Achilles injuries are the worst in sports IMO

Although it's only the his rookie year Gilbert looks more bust than boom

Kurt Warner is 100% a first ballot HoFer. He did more in six years than some people did in their entire careers.
