But CNN also headlined their primetime news show with the President's SOTU speech + reaction. And then the next topic was deflated footballs.

Sportscenter spent damn near 25 minutes on this stupid, useless **** as their opener...

...then they had one of those goofy Sports Science segments in which they proved that any perceived advantage is insignificant, AND, in those conditions, the offensive team would fare better with a "up to spec" football.

i think it was worse in the 80s and 90s..

had the whole monica Lewinsky scandal everyone was caught up in.. OJ trail.. dallas was the biggest show on tv back then

people have short attention spans now, so something will come up in a week or two that people will care more about

The correct call was made from a confusingly bad rule in which it contributed to y'all advancing in the playoffs. Not a single negative word was cast on y'all on the national stage.

Must be nice.

Refs made a call by the rulebook where a precedent had been clearly set in previous games/years.  And the ref was the same ref that had made the same call "by the book" previously.

And it was still talked about for 4 days on SC. #continuingtheprocess or w.e.

This Deflategate thing is so blown out of proportion that's it's ridiciulous
I haven't seen anything this "controversial" happen to pitchers getting caught with spitballs in the MLB
