I've gradually moved from being pretty indecisive to a comfortable feeling that Seattle will be going back-to-back.

People are placing too much of an emphasis on recency (how both the Seahawks and Patriots performed in the conference title games) when what we actually watched: the Colts in Foxborough and Aaron Rodgers in an enclosed stadium/Russ' worst game ever.

New England gives up 104 yards/game on the ground (on 4.2 yards per attempt). Seattle 84 yards/game (3.4 yards per attempt).

I don't like putting stock into non-football related things typically, but one I think actually does matter: Seattle's familiarity with the University of Phoenix Stadium playing field, visiting it every single season --> whereas the Patriots lost the most heart-ripping Super Bowl in their existence at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Feb. 3, 2008.

Since 1995 -- the last 20 years -- it's only happened two other times.

Jan. 25, 1998 - Broncos 31, Packers 24 (Y, team that played S.B. at team's stadium within their own division won S.B.)
Jan. 26, 2003 - Buccaneers 48, Raiders 21 (N, team that played S.B. at team's stadium within their own division didn't win S.B.)

I guess we'll see.

Seattle's defense is great, but it's the Patriot's defense you have to be worried about.  If Seattle comes out w/ that Manny Pac vs Ricky Hatton quick strike blitz and ding Brady, then it's over.
 
This reminds me of the Spurs Heat Thread this past June.

A lot of people ate crow.

Some accounts never logged back in after the Spurs won.

This thread will be a great read right after the game.

i just don't wanna see marshawn or Sherman out there. Its time for them to put BB on MADDEN or TOM BRADY on MADDEN.

I'm still STUNNED that Aaron Rodgers and the Pack turned five turnovers into six points. Absolutely absurd defense. :x

Legendary **** if Seattle seals this deal.
