Some people seem to always take the women's side in domestic violence cases
With the track record we've seen lately, it makes it easy for people to always believe the woman making the accusations. But with so many wild accusations towards athletes/celebrities, it's almost unfair to punish somebody over an "accusation," without hearing more facts/let the case runs its course.

Roger's problem is he came in guns blazing with those stiff punishments to "clean" up the NFL now it's the worst it's been due to his inconsistency and punishments as it happens policies that he seems to dish out.

It was faulty thinking that guys would clean up their act due to stiffer penalties

Guys are young dudes with alot money, huge scrutiny and high responsibilities

They aren't thinking about Roger Goodell when they are about to get into trouble

NFL players don't get in more trouble than young males in similar situations

Panthers ain't letting him go. That defense would have been even sicker had he played last year. If they can get Newton one more offensive playmaker the panthers could be a real problem.

Kid is done in Charlotte. I'm cool with it too bc we can't pay him anyway. As long as he doesn't end up in Atlanta idc where he goes.

I don't know what people mean by 'fairness', but Roger has fumbled quite often to the point where it removes any benefit of doubt.  They're saying how money corrupts and that these young kids don't know any better.  Well, they can't blame any body but themselves.

Regarding all the punishments its a 2 way street. You shouldn't punish without letting all the facts come out, but as a player, at some point you need to stop putting yourself in stupid situations at some point.

I applauded the 49ers for not giving into a bunch of outsiders who wanted McDonald cut when he caught that initial case. Those outsiders weren't worried about the 49ers best interest and didn't care if them losing a key player off of allegations could affect an entire teams season. They handled it the right way and da proof was in da pudding when everything got dismissed. They didn't let outsiders dictate team affairs and that was a noble move in a world where politically correctness seems to be the norm.

At the same time, I totally was fine when they cut him after he got into a second incident this past December after the Seattle game. You just beat a case and your poor judgement is getting you and another troubled teammate (Aldon) in potential problems. At that point you need to go. The team did the right thing by sticking by him with the initial case which was proven to be bs, but his consistent poor judgement warranted his release for the 2nd incident.

I get some guys are so young they didn't really see Jerry Rice

But Jerry Rice dwarfs Moss accomplishments in every conceivable way

Every conceivable way..

The NFL is beautiful in the fact that you can't call a clear cut best at almost any position...

Qb or RB is such that If I say Emmit you say Barry and neither of us is right or wrong. I say Brady you say Montana, etc...

WR is the exception to that rule imo... Jerry rice is just plain the GOAT no matter what man. Consistency, big games, big numbers... Whatever your flavor is Jerry rice more than likely leads that category by a wide margin....

Ehhh, there's a lot of factors. Who was the better talent? I think Moss. Who had a better work ethic, supporting cast, discipline and stats, obviously Jerry. I still think Moss was more talented. Just lazy, frustrated and a punk at times. Damn shame. If he had Jerry's drive, he would probably be in the league today and would own a lot of records.

Doesn't everyone say that gloves today are better than stickum?

Not that I'll know, I've only ever heard about stickum, never seen it...

But I have heard plenty of older players say today's gloves work better

I wouldn't mind if the Bucs went after Hardy but he is definitely a certified crazy person and there's no doubt in my mind that the whole story she said of him throwing her on a bed full of his guns and threatening to kill her is definitely true. There was waaaay too much details in what she said for that to not be true. The guy isn't stable off the football field.

Rice was incredible

As I have said before. One play left? Give me Moss. Any longer time period give me Jerry every time
