I can't see an NFL team trying to do that. They would have their entire reputation on the line plus some legal issues. Players would never sign or play for them if found to be true, agents would avoid at all costs, advertisers wouldn't deal with and the league would take serious sanctions (especially if untrue and the team is putting all this out there). If over blowing, some of the mentioned issues would still pertain

So far the best two sources on this video are Terez Owens and some dude named Jaywan who I read was a fraudulent character

and Schefter was probably so reluctant to put anything out there because he may have doubt of it himself on how serious this could be

I dont know what to believe anymore

Anybody in favor of the NFL moving the DPI rule to 15 yards like College?

We can agree to disagree DMXfury but I definitely can; especially for a guy like Dez who has a checkered past. Let's be real; Dez could be demanding to be the highest paid WR in the league and he'd have a valid argument. This new Jerry Jones seems to be listening to Steven; and isn't willing to throw money around like he used to.

It would be fairly easy for a team to do something like this without it getting back to them. Do we really think guys like Shefter and King are getting most of their scoops/stories from someplace other than the teams? Guys like that would never reveal their sources since it would effectively end their careers and teams could always deny then it turns into a he said/he said.

I think teams float bogus stories all the time, especially when it comes to the draft to throw off other teams on who they'll be picking

Just my opinion.

Dallas is fully aware the tape exist if yall listen to The Herd on ESPN he has been saying for 2 months at least that someone in the Dallas organization has seen the tape and told him if it were to ever get out Dez would never play football in the NFL...

According to the people that run the internet Walmart has been covering this up for Dez.
Ain't no way Walmart letting a dude whoop a chick on their property and not put them laws in that boy life.

Everything about this is disturbing on many levels.

And Schefter doesn't play around with half-rumors & ****. Only way he would run with something that early (September) is if he gets the info from a trusted source that knows Adam will throw them an alley back at some other point. And if it's gonna burn some bridges, then he ain't going for it.

If this alleged video is as bad as its being hyped…it would literally serve no purpose for the Cowboys to use it as a "negotiating tactic". Dudes need to chill w/ that.

I wonder what they call Stafford

Would the Cowboys miss the tag deadline if they were to wait for this whole Dez mess to come to fruition?

People don't see the bigger picture.

Why commit so much money to who's gonna be suspended?

Cowboys are waiting to see what happens when this video leaks.
the real bigger picture is why did it take so long to leak (if there is even a tape) and why was there basically a coverup. And why didn't law enforcement do their job and put charges on the guy.

...but if this is surveillance video and Dez is not CLEARLY shown puttin' them paws on a female/doing something criminal what's to stop Dez from saying its not him?

The people selling the tape are supposedly former friends/witnesses that Dez cut off...so that would discredit them immediately.
