Captain, look around through these threads. NFL, NBA, etc. Look how often an ESPN personality is quoted. Look how often an ESPN personalities tweet is brought up. Look how often an ESPN personalities comments on sports center or their show is brought up. It's daily, by numerous people


And it's 95% followed up with some sort of "man ESPN sucks" or "ESPN is trash, they're all idiots" type ****.

I'm not defending ESPN like they're perfect, far from it. But I also don't tune in to their shows and complain everyday.

You know what you're getting, their formula doesn't change. It's all about ratings, it's all about dollars.

People know this and they still complain about their agenda. Their agenda is the same as any other TV programming, ratings and money.

If you don't like it stop watching, listening, or quoting them.

You can't give them your attention and still complain about it being bad. Which is it? Do you pay attention to them or not? If you watch you don't hate it.

It doesn't work both ways. Something can't be awful to you yet get you to give it hours of daily life.

You do also realize other news sources report on this stuff too

Everything I've seen or read about Cowherd has been outside of the ESPN networks
 
I do realize that Pablo.
I know we quote and reference more than just ESPN.

But I promise you most of these dudes complaining about it wake up and put their TV on sports center first thing in the morning while theyre eating their lucky charms

I don't know the last time I've watched ESPN other than games as well... 30 for 30? My rotation is FS1 (fox sports one) and NFL Network.

Yeah I don't doubt some people do that at all.

It reminds me of people I know who used to tune into Fox News just to get their jimmies rustled

ESPN's 30 for 30 gets my views every time they drop one.

Other than that, I just stick to watching games and occasional late night reruns of SC when I can't sleep :lol:
 
I don't listen to ESPN at all except games and 30 for 30's

if I listen to sports radio it's most likely local, I hate Cowherd and Mike and Mike are unbearable but at least somewhat likeable besides Greenberg talking about the Jets like it's a NY station
 
only sports radio i listen to is WFAN which has its moments. Francesca is a douche, but he's still knowledgeable when he wants to be. Joe and Evan is where it's at though.
 
Some local insight into the Dez situation. The police report was made in Lancaster, TX. Dez at that time (not sure about now) was living in Desoto TX.

These are bordering cities and both are suburbs of Dallas. A freeway(I-35) literally separates Desoto and Lancaster.

Ironically the police report was dated 7/11/2011 and one of my homeboys was standing in line with Dez at a Gamestop Madden 2012 midnight release, just a month later in that same shopping center the police report was made. My homeboy said nobody knew who Dez was, but he saw him get out of a white benz and noticed the dude was cut up(muscular) and that's what made him kind of look at Dez twice trying to figure out who he was.

Basically said him and Dez talked about football and Madden the whole time. Store opened, Dez waited his turn and bought his copy just like a regular everyday gamer.

It's not always about quality.

It's about relatability.

People don't just tune in because something's worldly known to be great. They tune in because they can relate to someone's views.
 
i dont relate to most of francesca's views but i like listening to him because he's not an outlandish tool that says stuff for ratings.
