That doesn't compare to trading your top draft picks for 3 straight seasons. You can rationalize it however way you want but at the end of the day, mortgaging off your future for a great unknown and 1 proven commodity isn't the smartest way to do business

best I would be willing to do is...

1st and 2nd in 2015 and 2016 and like a 5th

trade Foles and get some picks back preferably a 2nd and a 5th

I want MM8 badly because he is the real deal IMO but you have to draw the line somewhere

Was that the year GB bounced them with that comeback win in Pontiac?

Herman Moore and his Reeboks :smokin

Eagles beat them 58-37 in the playoffs during Wild Card weekend

Rodney Peete balling out :pimp:

the whole "mortgaging your future" phrase gets thrown out of proportion sometimes. i mean, I'd trade the farm if I get a real good farmer in return :rolleyes

That's the thing though, you don't know what you're getting with Mariota. That's a ridiculous haul for a rookie

That sounds a little more reasonable but still pretty steep Stilln

If the Titans pass on Mariota then I am convinced he becomes an Eagle but I am still not sure the Titans are really "all in" on Mettenberger

rumors are the Eagles and Jets already have a potential deal in place if it comes to it

but you really don't know what you are getting with any top draft pick, you hope the people in charge know what they are doing

I would do my scenario because you essentially give up one 1st round pick since the '15 picks are swapped, one 2nd because you get one back for Foles and the 5th rounders are a wash so you lose one 1st and one 2nd to get the QB you think is your franchise QB

who knows if any of this is possible, this is just my offer I would be willing to part with

I've heard some things about Dockett

Not surprised he signed with San Francisco......

Mitchell was overhyped due to a backup role and sucked after, Flynn was the same. Mitchell may have sucked less but both got overhyped due to back up duties

his 1995 season was legit one of the best seasons by a QB in the 90's

Herman Moore and Brett Perriman beasted

Yeah Scott Mitchell actually started and did well for a few seasons

Matt Cassell is more of a better comparison

Matt Flynn was never good

Matt Flynn is like the Free Agent Ryan Leaf

If I recall, was Flynn hype based off that one Lions game? Did he even do anything in GB past that?

Well at least now we know who's not even pretending like they'd be an adequate GM.

To play devils advocate...

Matt Flynn is 3-4 as a starter

In those games: 157/243, 64.6% completion, 1886 yards, 16 TD, 7 INT, 98.2 QB rating

He may not be starting QB material, but those numbers are pretty decent.

Dude was 4 teams in one year with no known off the field problems

The better numbers are from a couple "meaningless" games

He sucks
