As he should be.

Can't get down with Manziel at all.

Starting Hoyer and if things go south then go with Manziel is a lot easier to do then start Manziel than bench him for Hoyer.

In a perfect world I want Hoyer to start all 16... but if they start 0-3 and go into that bye week everyone will be pushing for the switch.

Browns have rushed too many QB's before they are ready and that's why they are constantly in this position.

so far he's done more to prove the doubters right. his "off the field" stuff has been more of a story than his actual play...

again, we all realize it's early and he might have a fine career.

Agreed; if he seemed to put in the work I wouldn't be so critical but he's an entitled brat who needs to realize he's in the NFL now

you should hate peyton manning for all these flags, technically speaking

Oh stop. This all started when Tom Brady tore his ACL and Labia

Well...once Brady went down, they went hard to protect QB's treating them like it's flag football.

All this other **** though? Definitely didn't come from that.

I said it a few weeks back.

SMFH.

I'm surprised this didn't get any attention in here.

Roger Fidel and his cronies are more worried about catering to every fantasy football dork than anything else.
A decade ago, the NFL made illegal contact and defensive holding a point of emphasis based in part on complaints from former Colts G.M. Bill Polian that Patriots defensive backs were manhandling Peyton Manning’s pass-catchers.  Now, the NFL is re-emphasizing the point of emphasis.
This year, the officials may be far more inclined to throw flags.  Per Pereira, the 2004 push to stop defensive backs from pushing and tugging and shoving receivers resulted in an increase in illegal contact fouls from 79 to 191.
The good news for Seattle is that, a decade ago, the Patriots won the Super Bowl for a second straight year, even with the renewed emphasis on mugging Manning’s teammates.

So every time #18's receivers get thoroughly sonned in a playoff game they're gonna come out the following year with these "points of emphasis"? Okay, NFL.

Bill Polian could suck a **** forever for that move.

Love the manziel frustration.  Just hope he gets piled driven lol.

And yes, pre-season is where it counts for some rebuilding franchises.  More so, the Browns better get the running game going if they can't pass.  They need to turn Hoyer into an Alex Smith. lol

I just wonder how steep the learning curve is going be for manziel..

I at least thought his quickness would be able to translate right away.. But I saw one play tonight where he pump faked the guy, got him in the air but still couldn't get the corner

Johnny Manziel is Ryan Leaf 2.0. They're both egotistical imbeciles that think they're above the rest.

I'm not comparing their talent, arms, mechanics or anything.
