Seriously though do you honestly think i care what yall think the slurp fest is on 100
Im still coming in this thread running my mouth what you gonna do about it ....Nothing hahha
Im going to be in here 24/7 get use to it

As an Eagles fan, Chip's an idiot. An offensive genius on the college level, very innovative, but on the NFL level needs to do a better job adjusting to personnel already on his team. There are no guarantees Mariota falls to the Eagles in this upcoming draft, and Foles was actually a decent QB during his 2 year stint, that still could develop into a good pocket passer in this league. But since Chip's primary focus is the offense, the defense will never be properly taken care of unless they get a defensive coordinator who knows how to coach. Bill Davis is trash, and I wish Chip was smart enough to understand that. Only thing I do like is the fact that they are "attempting" to put the right pieces in the puzzle together on the defense. Coaching these guys, and keeping them aggressive and disciplined in the regular season is another matter...

So if the Eagles end up with a losing record I'm assuming the fan base will end up in an uproar and want Chip out immediately

Almost as bad as your usual "you live in your parents basement" joke

you might be the most annoying presence in this thread

There will be eyebrows raised in Philadelphia for sure if Chip doesn't make improvements. He was courted by Lurie to come here, and now that he is here, he has the chance to establish this team under his own identity. Success cures all doubt and reels back the critics, but yes, if he stinks it up this season, especially with so many questionable releases and signings, the door will be wide open for Chip to exit from..

All of chips current moves just show that he's going to pour all their resources into the "rebuild the defense" bucket and he has supreme confidence that he can make the offense work with whomever he has to play with

pretty much

people *****ed about the defense last year now it's being addressed and people are outraged, Chip has proven he can score points, the defense has been the Achilles heel for two years

True, but coaching them guys is another matter. I have no faith in Bill Davis or his command on this team's defense.

why do you hate Davis so much? he did a decent job considering his secondary consisted of Nate Allen, Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher

Among 40 Eagles players to start a game in Andy Reid's last season (2012), only 10(!) still under contract with team (not inc. LeSean McCoy)

we can agree to disagree then, I just feel like this guy has no leadership intangibles to command a young defense. Cary and Fletcher were trash, and when Fletch was stinking up the games, Bill Davis would always take the high road to defend his players. Took him forever to bench Fletch, and we got torched because of it. As much as I dislike Cary, at least he tried to play aggressive, he just couldn't play smart and make plays when it mattered.

When Jim Johnson coached this defense, he even "looked" like a no-nonsense type of coach. His players knew what they had to do, and responded well to his coaching style and attitude. Davis, on the other hand, just a guy trying to save his own ***. I just don't feel he fits well in a city that demands solid defense on their football team.

I don't really want Andre. These old receivers rarely have the expected impact in new homes. We need to focus on getting young guys coached up.

I mean Jim Johnson was coaching Brian Dawkins, Lite Sheppard and Sheldon Brown

your point? They came to play...did they not? None of that falls on the DC's shoulders to prepare his guys? Talent alone doesn't win games..

having talent kinda skews "coming to play"

there is no point for Davis to throw his players under the bus especially knowing none of them would be back, I think you are being pretty harsh considering how he used to front 7 and put them in positions to make up for a lack of even an average secondary

I think calling Davis "trash" is a bit harsh

What if the system is trash, & not the players?
Who knows, Eagles are in a make or brake year.
If Kelly doesn't right the ship, with a postseason appearance then consider the seat hot.
While FA might be close to over for y'all, the Draft is still coming up. If your scouts are able to find 2-3 contribution players & possibly 2 starters y'all might be good. Even with all the "trash" players Eagles went 10-6.
