Can't tell me it was about money. I think he just didn't like McCoy. You could have restructured and extended, McCoy is a better back without a doubt.

Saints and Browner nearing a deal.
Adrian Peterson’s father said Thursday “nothing was resolved” in a meeting Monday with Vikings owners and the running back will have another discussion with team officials about his future by the end of the week.
“They will meet again,” Nelson Peterson told the Pioneer Press. “I’m not going to say who’s going to be at the meeting. I can’t comment on that.”
When asked when it would take place, Nelson Peterson only would say by the end of the week.
Peterson’s father said he hasn’t asked for a trade and that all the talk he could end up with Dallas is just rumors.
Peterson missed 15 games last season because of a child-abuse incident. He is disgruntled because he does not believe some in the organization did enough last year to get him back on the field. There remains a possibility he could be traded.
Peterson already has met with general manager Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer last week in Houston and last Monday with owners Zygi and Mark Wilf and Spielman in New York.
“Just stuff coming up from the Vikings and that’s about it, so nothing was resolved,” Nelson Peterson said of the Monday meeting. “Everything remains the same. He still has options with returning, so the door hasn’t been closed.”
A message has been sent to the Vikings to ask if another meeting has been scheduled with Peterson.
Peterson remains under contract through 2017. His deal for next season calls for $12.75 million but none of it is guaranteed.
Peterson is on the commissioner”s exempt list after a federal judge two weeks ago vacated his NFL suspension, although the league has filed an appeal. Tuesday’s first day of the new league year was the first day he could be traded.
Rumors have been swirling that Peterson could end up with the Cowboys because there are reports Dallas star free-agent running back DeMarco Murray soon could sign with Philadelphia. ESPN reported last year Peterson had a phone conversation with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about one day wanting to play for the team.
