Keep in mind he sat his first season behind Kitna.

32 TDs 12 Ints that year, and that was a different era before some of the crazier pro-offense rules.

I remember being kinda mad when they made the switch to Carson. Kitna just came off a career year and almost led the Bengals to the playoffs. Thought he could get them there the next year.

Henry's death and Houshmanzadeh leaving did not help, but there's no question that injury permanently impacted his career.

Edit:  He also had shoulder injuries.  He's kind of like the Deron Williams of QBs.

But how do you know the knee permanently affected his career? You just mentioned much stronger reasons for his declines and struggles. QBs have recovered from ACLs before with no permenent issues

I was super disappointed Barkley didn't come out when we had two first round picks... lol

I think the "I was down on RG3 first" train is incredibly silly. The guy had a legitimately great rookie season. His career was doomed by injuries, mismanagement, and his own arrogance but even now it's not like he was some can't-hit prospect. A lot had to go wrong for him to end up where he is now.

**** Bobby Bad Knees. Me and @JJs07 went at it PLENTY of times during that rookie year. Kid was overrated and a gimmick, said it that season and I still say it. **** that Uncle Tom.

Greg Jennings better not go to SEA. His career will definitely end quickly.

Bowe would be a nice pickup for CLE. CLE should look at Crabtree too. They need WRs badly.

I think Carson doomed himself. He isn't a great leader. He seemed to prefer trying to be buds with Chad Johnson and Houshmandzadeh and as a result they started overruling him and doing their own thing on the field. They were never on the same page after awhile.

That 05 Bengals team was nice. Carson was probably the 3rd best QB in the league that year. Then dude f'ed up his knee and it was a wrap.

Charles Robinson @CharlesRobinson

The Dallas #Cowboys, as you might expect by now, do not plan to be bidders if Adrian Peterson hits the market. Not in the plans at all.

If Adrian Peterson hits the block, it sounds like #Vikings could at least get a second round pick out of him. They may want more, though.
Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports that the Cardinals are prepared to offer a high-round draft pick for Peterson. AP has not officially hit the trade block, so to speak, but he has reportedly informed the Vikings that he is still not happy.
Robinson believes the Cardinals would offer a second-round draft pick for Peterson, which may not be enough. While we all know what Peterson is capable of, we also know he will turn 30 next season and is still owed a ton of money.

Any team that trades for Peterson will be taking on his $12.75 million salary for 2015. Unless AP expresses a willingness to take a pay cut or restructure his contract with a new team, his trade value may not be as high as the Vikings would like.

Man, if that AP to zona trade becomes reality...

Minnesota holds all the leverage. He still may get dealt, but the Vikings aren't trading him at the first decent proposal they get. And unless he publicly starts a conniption fit, I don't see a trade coming so soon.

Having said that, the Vikings probably trade him tomorrow.

RG3 coming out of Baylor was outstanding, guys like him need hard coaching which he got at Baylor. He would've been a better prospect than Bridgewater.

I think there's hope for him even if it's not in DC, same with Geno Smith in NYJ.
There's no hope for him in DC, Gruden doesn't like him. Still don't get why we brought that dumbass in to "coach". Hopefully after we go 5-11 this year he gets canned and the new GM gets to pick his head coach.

Miami all day...

Give it another week or two though so FA is slowed almost all the way down.

Saw a tweet earlier that might just be the most amazing thing I've ever heard.

There are currently 60 players on Green Bay's roster.
ONE has played a game for another NFL team. Julius Peppers.

That is ******* astounding in this day and age. ****, there are teams from the 70's that couldn't match that.

It might be true, Packers and their fans are proud of their homegrown talent. I remember a tweet going around during the season saying the Packers had 5 players who had played for another team while the Bears had like 30

I can believe it, they never make any moves in free agency.
