is AP really worth a 2nd rounder at this point when you can get one of these young cats in the draft? the attention he's gonna bring, the fact he hasn't played in a year, i'd rather pass completely on AP at that price and try to trade up and get gordon.

I think so. It wouldn't take AP long to whip himself into football shape.

i guess it depends on how far away the team is. a team like the colts let's say, i guess would be worth taking that chance, a team like the Bucs, i think that's a pointless/shortsighted move.

Yeah I don't doubt that he'll be in game shape for the season, this is the same dude that came back from an ACL tear in only a few months only to end up winning MVP after all...he's definitely still worth it imo.

I don't know man. It seems pretty grueling having to switch yourself back into football shape after a year off.

He's most likely gonna be motivated as hell because of just that

True. He's definitely going to be hitting those holes with force this year, though.

Maybe, but his body would taking some painful punishment for his reckless style of play.

(I actually wouldn't give up anything more than a third-rounder unless I'm the Cowboys, Chargers, Colts, etc. For the same reasons Chester stated BUT I don't know if I'd throw him in the 30-year-old RB steep drop-off group. He will have his drop-off, but on his own timeline I think. What we saw in 2012, which I pointed out above, tells me he'll physically overcome anything - including the past year in which he didn't play football, including the 30-year-old RB cliff. I could see him rushing for 1,400 at age 32).

Longest parenthesis ever. Would you pay a first-round pick or second-round pick for a guy who can run for 1,400 yards though? Think about that. Those are a dime a dozen. Guys rise up and do that every year.

That bruising style of running. :pimp:

I know he was injured for part of 2013, but he didn't have a terrific season rushing the ball. We can attribute that to 'playing through an injury' but it's convenient in that it's something we will never be able to confirm...
