Is Jim Tomsula THAT terrible!!!

you don't like to contribute much
I'm joking. I commend Borland & Willis for walking away while they are in good health. Its a hard decision and a brave one for someone to walk away from their passion.

However, you are always on my case about anything I say.

I just don't see this being the beginning of the end for football

in 5 years people will be saying "who was that rookie who retired for the 49ers?"

Dayum, when it rains, it pours! Big ups to Borland for taking care of his health though. You can't just get blinded by the money. You gotta do what's right for your well being.

Quite a gutsy move to retire at 24 by Borland. I respect his decision though, and obviously isn't willing to become long-term punch drunk from too many concussions. Seau's death has created a lot of awareness since his passing, and I wouldn't be surprised if more guys in the league start retiring before 30...

It isn't about this one "rookie who retired for the 49ers" though. It's much bigger than that. That's the point this Will Brinson is getting at.

This ain't gon stop people from playing football. Dudes already know the shelf life is small. Texas and Florida will continue to breed 'em.

:wow:

Wow, unprecedented stuff here. Dude had a stud rookie season and a long career ahead of him.

Hopefully it doesn't start a trend though, I love the NFL too much.

money talks

not many dudes are gonna walk away to go make $40k a year and work their *** off

Will Brinson has an agenda to make a bigger name for himself

3 already this year now. Borland, Worlids and Locker.

Last I saw youth football numbers are down and at a pretty significant rate

Exactly. Parents are getting to their kids before football can.

Whoa, he didn't even make that much money. Pretty crazy to see someone that young just retire, he looked pretty damn good last year on the field.
