Does the system make the quarterback or the quarterback the system? We already knew Sanchez was buns, so....

Chip just needs his guy in order to run that O the way he wants it. I still like Foles, but Mariota would be intriguing to see in Philly if somehow possible. I think C CP1708 is spot on though...if MM8 succeeds in the NFL, one of the few places to better those odds would be with Chip and the Eagles.

Aaron Rodgers or steve young are the prototypes of what he wants out of his QB.. Someone who is A quick thinker, accurate and mobile

He doesn't necessarily need a 'runner', but it doesn't hurt.. The guy just has to take advantage of what is given to him by the defense then get down and protect himself

But being a quick thinker, accurate and careful with the ball are the most important traits

Chip would have to give up like 59 picks to come up for Mariota.

StL dropped from 2 to 6, and got a #2 and 2 more #1's. 2 to 6.

A team having to come up from 20ish? Shiiiiiiii, be more than Chip could offer. No team in the 1-2-3 range gonna drop to 23 without a ton of extras. Would be unprecedented. Would make the Herschel Walker trade look like 7th round pick swaps.

I think he can still roll with Foles and be fine, but there's a difference between being fine and playoff caliber than being a bona-fide Super Bowl contender.

Foles was pretty bad this year.. No clue why there couldn't be some sort of happy medium with foles and sanchez.. Foles forced everything into coverage on the deeper routes while sanchez forcing everything into coverageover the middle on the intermediary routes..

Chip's system is set up to force to defense to cover every portion of the feild on every play, laterally and vertically.. You have to dictate pretty quickly what you are going to do.. So the offense just adapts and should take what is there to be had

But with both guys they just force things and are simply not sufficiently accurate enough in a system that has guys running open most of the time

I mean i know the price is slightly cheaper than it once was to move up (but that's without the franchise QB element).. But the price is still going to be extremely steep

i really wonder what it would take

Also, there is hundley who could drop to the 2nd and has been under jim mora jr (not a good thing)

Is Jared goff draft eligible?

Theyd have to mike ditka that situation

It really is unprecedented.. Ditka had the 12th pick and was moving up to 5

Eagles need a Rodgers type situation to happen.. Maybe he gets out of the top 10 by some miracle and it's more realistic to move up

You're right. He wasn't very good this year. I didn't get to watch as much of him as I hoped, but I had been high on Foles when he was at Arizona because, despite is awkward stature and with no outstanding features to his game, he was a guy who stood tall among all kinds of pressure and still had the accuracy to drop the ball in a bucket 15-40 yards down the field (disparity being from hitting deep outs all the way up the tree to corner, posts and fades). Given those circumstances, he looked pretty damn tough to me and was durable.

I don't think his groove last year was all happenstance as it made sense to me given my initial evaluation of him. I think it was an unprecedented run for him though and just an amazingly hot streak that he'll never replicate. I don't think he has to be that efficient though in order to remain a starter in the NFL. A lot of talk had to do with his footwork being way outta wack, which led to a lot of his inefficiencies, but without really seeing all of the games, it's hard for me to tell. My quick presumption is a matter of him falling back to reality and having small mistakes snowball into bigger ones. Confidence is so under-mentioned when it comes to professional athletes, especially when it comes to quarterbacks -- RGIII for one, because most assume pro's don't have these issues, so it could be something along those lines because it's definitely a thing. It's one of my personal story lines I'm intrigued to follow going into the 2015 season. Hopefully he's still the starter. You might now feel the same though.

And that's when you know this fantasy thing gets out of hand :smh:

Get the **** outta here.

People have wanted to hurt coaches and athletes for years no matter if it's because of them costing them money from gambling, their kid not getting enough playing time or being treated wrongly, etc. Not saying it's the right thing to do but it's happened in the past with other things than fantasy football.

I seriously just want an answer from him at this point. Chip cost Shady a good 8+ TD's this year, and today he officially cost me $1,250 when he could have done the logical thing and gave his best player the ball at the 1 yard line THREE ******* times in a row.

I'm going to want to punch this dude's ugly mug every time I see him for the rest of my life.

This AP situation just gets stranger and stranger by the week. Apparently an NFL exec told him that he could expect only a 2 game suspension and that he'd be able to play again this season. AP thinks that the league took payback against him for skipping out on his hearing that his lawyers maintain he didn't have to attend.

Here's the audio tape of the phone convo

Gonna be real interesting to see how this ends up playing out and if his suspension sticks up. This has gotta be a record year for disciplinary debacles for the league

Listening to Eric Allen and Skip argue over Manziel is hilarious. Eric said there is no way Manziel will be a franchise QB.

Sounds like Troy Vincent might be suffering the effects of the concussions. I'm really serious.

Chip is going to exercise as much as he can to pull off getting Mariota...If he cant at least he tried. I ain't even mad at him if he takes a shot at it and goes all in

 Trent :smh:

I still don't get how the Vikings convinced the browns to give them something to swap picks with them..

during the draft I didn't get the whole trent Richardson thing (and neither did jim brown).. but I really didn't get them giving up something to move up 1 spot with the team that had AP and glaring needs elsewhere
