^Im one of those guys that believe if there is still a chance, i go for it all, call me an optimist *kanye shrug*

if we were good in 1 phase of the game I would be right there with you. But offense, defense and ST we are terrible in.

Our season has been trash but it would be nice to see our boy win rookie of the year. Mike Evans has been solid but ODB has him beat in every stat except for TDs. Evans has 11, ODB has 9. Evans has played in three more games than ODB. ODB didn't play until week 5.

It's gonna be ODB or Mike Evans, but I think Odell is gonna win it. There's soo much hype around him between the ridiculous catch & crazy statlines it's gonna be hard not to give it to him.

He has potential to be one of the greats.

Some real great WR in this rookie class

Evans
ODB
Watkins
Benjamin
Cooks

Etc.

Dudes are going to be special.

If you haven't been paying attention to Xavier Rhodes, you might wanna start. He's the next shutdown corner.

In the locker room after the game, Rhodes was handed a stat sheet from the game. He winced.

“Man,” he said. “I had it as a goal to hold him under 50 yards. He got 53.”

Nearby, linebacker Chad Greenway didn’t need long to answer when asked if he had seen another Vikings cornerback shadow a No. 1 receiver before.

“I’ve been here since ’06 and it’s the first time for me,” he said. “The plan all week was to give Xavier the opportunity and trust that it would be good for our defense. And it was. He’s as good a cover corner as there is in the league.”

...

Overall, the Vikings held Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford to 153 yards passing. That’s Stafford’s season low and his second-fewest passing yards in a full game since the end of the 2009 season.

When the Vikings led 14-0, the Lions had zero first downs. And they wouldn’t register a first down until the 8:54 mark of the second quarter.

...

“We were chit-chatting back and forth on the field,” Rhodes said. “He’s a great player. I’ve been doing good this year and he just noticed it.”

This article was previous to his matchup with CJ:

At one point Kelvin was running away with OROY but what ODB has done recently is impressive. Him, Evans, and Benjamin will easily get over 1000. Evans just can't have another 13 yd game like last week

Jordan Matthews isn't that good.

I'm going to need you to clarify here because thats stupid

If you mean it in the sense that he doesn't have that elite WR ability like some of those other guys I agree. But to say he isn't even good is ridiculous. Dude can and probably will have multiple 1000 yards and ~9TD seasons in our offense. That's pretty good IMO.

He can't beat man coverage and Riley Cooper proved Damn near any wide receiver can put those numbers up in that offense l.

He's not garbage but he isn't on the same level as the other dudes in that post

You Philly fans and your stats again

What are Riley Coopers stats this year? THAT is someone who can't beat man coverage and is no good. There's been game this season where Jordan has continuously beat his corner and gotten open, hence those stats. Stats don't tell the whole story but they definitely tell a big part of it. Not to mention we have had really bad QB play this year. I've seen a few All-22's where Matthews has been wide open and has been missed due to Foles/Sanchez just missing him.

Like i said, dude isn't going to be Elite like some of those other guys because he doesn't have the explosion they do. But you said he isn't good, thats stupid.

No I said he isn't that good in response to where he stacks up with the other rookie wide receivers. He's not on their level stats be dammed

You dudes so quick to exaggerate some ****

Not one time did I say he was bad or horrible

Jordan Matthews is good at finding holes in zones and getting open that way but man on man he's getting locked up.

Those other dudes are going to make plays irregardless of coverage.

Has Vick ever said he was a Skins fan in the past? I don't think I've ever heard him talk about them before. Must be hoping for work next year so he's trying to sell the "home" aspect. I don't know many people in VA Beach, Newport News or anywhere around there that are Skins fans or call anything around here home.

Jordan Matthews can beat man coverage; that statement that he can't is absurd but he's not on those guys levels yet outside Cooks

Cooks hasn't shown me much before the injury, he had a good game or two

our offense this year has suffered because of the ineptitude of our QBs.. and kinda hard to judge if Mathews is really being locked up when the ball is getting forced into bad spots instead of looking for the guy who comes open through the process of the offense (which is it's ultimate point, you cant cover everyone)

for example this play in the seattle game, where sanchez tried to force it into cooper (and it was picked):
