Coughlin will return as the Giants HC

He was expected to return most likely.

- He's won the second most games in our franchise.
- Two SB rings
- Who are you gonna replace him with?

This will probably be his last year though. Fired or retirement after next season. Unless they go deep in the playoffs. As a Giants fan, I'm cool with him getting one more shot. I would like Harbaugh or Rex but I don't see either coming to the Giants. The rumor was Cowher wanted the job but I doubt he still does. Making too much on TV doing nothing.

So if the Browns had beat the ravens yesterday and the Texans made the playoffs you would give watt the award but because that didn't happen he can't win it? This doesn't sound weird anyone else?

I actually think it's admirable that the Giants aren't all about winning the off-season like their MetLife partners in crime jets.

They have a solid front office and coaching foundation and they're not overreacting to the public every chance they get like the Jets.

All that team really needs is an offensive line and better line backers and it'll be competing again in that division.

Changing coaches wouldn't do much for them other than "win the headlines."

They're sticking to a solid foundation of talent which will be even better with Cruz back.
That's respectible. They just can't afford to strike out in this years draft with linemen. They need them BADLY.

Chiefs and Texans both finished 9-7 (with Texans being in the weaker AFC south). Chiefs lost Derrick Johnson and Eric Berry. Texans had their full complement of defenders. Justin Houston deserves MVP consideration too. He was half a sack away from the record. But honestly, I think Ben Roethlisberger should get the award but, he won't. The Steelers played well home and away.

Poe + Hali > anyone on Houston's defense not named JJ Watt.

Justin Houston is a ******* animal tho. Dude is filthy.

Aaron Rodgers is the MVP

coming back injured yesterday to win that game solidified that

Oh **** that noise. The little whiny **** pulled a Paul Pierce. Jordy went into the locker room, kissed his booboo, and F150 came back into the game. Big whoop.

Oh so winning conferences is the minimum criteria for winning MVP now?

Got it.

I'm sorry my memories just a little blank I don't remember the last time a Texan helped his team win his division, let alone the conference.

2011 was it?

Hmm.

Yeah, give Watt the MVP with that criteria. Makes a lot of sense *thumbs up*

Lmao. Exactly.

Whitney Mercilus isn't a slouch, Jonathan Joseph still plays at a pro bowl level, and Cushing is decent too, although coming off ACL injuries. Justin Houston is good versus the run and pass, also forces fumbles and has defensive TDs as well. When the Texans get Clowney at full strength next year, I guess we'll say "Well, Clowney is there too", as you said with Houston having Hali x Poe

Steelers are 5-1 vs playoff teams this year. Crazy

Ben tied Brees for number of yards, so random that could happen

Coughlin's situation reminds me of Cowher and the end of his time in Pitt

my dude Coltfan posted the Playoff Predication Thread in General for those who care to get an early start before it's moved here
