When you look at the actual quality of the team on the field, the health of the cap, and the long-term perspective, isn't John Schneider clearly the executive of the year?

But nooooo, it has to be someone who "beat expectations".

Same with Hoodie winning COTY. He should have about 9 of them on his mantle by now.

Couldn't agree more...  He should be certainly have more COTYs than Peyton has MVPs.

What mistake did the 49ers make?

Kap was his guy and has regressed.

And the offense looked like pure **** at times.

The strongest unit was the defense, which he didn't run.

every coach has up and down years; it's pretty clear he is a good coach

I agree he's a good coach.

But people are making it seem like the 49ers got rid of Jimmy Johnson or Vince Lombardi.

All those players he's winning with were brought in before him.

There's 2 players that are making an impact that have been brought in since he got there ( Aldon and Reid) both defensive guys, that odds are Fangio had a word in their drafting.

We've seen him get out coached, get embarrassed by their division rival and make bad decisions.

Like I said, he's a good coach, but eh.

fair enough but I think one down year is a little premature to let him go but we will see when they hire a new coach

but you witnessed that glorious undefeated season in '72.

73 team was better

It's weird but I feel like Pitt has been overlooked for some possible awards this year.

COTY - Tomlin shouldn't win but he has done a great job this year bouncing back from very average years before with essentially the same group

MVP - all three Killa B's should at least be mentioned. Ben's season is very similar to Tony's (yet only Romo mentioned), Bell's season isn't as good as Murray's but not that far off with total yards and TDs. And now WR is being mentioned but AB/Dez have been the best IMO

I don't think there is an 'assistant coach or coordinator of the year' but if there was Mike Munchak and his work with the oline is nothing short of amazing

Cmon show the love to Pitt

Not being funny but is Ben Tate a decent blocker? Serious

Ben Tate is good friends with a family friend of my dad's, he seems like a cool dude, flew them all down for a Texan's game last year

would like to see rex go to oakland. i think it would be a great match for both parties involved.

There is actually an assistant of the year award now. Probably will go to Bowles.

I found this pretty awesome, DSA hitting up Costco as we speak for some fresh Kirkland joints

So most likely Bell isn't playing this weekend. Which is big but I still think Pitt is the better team. Bal offense is trash but Pitt defense isn't good either.
