NFL Discussion Thread: Pats win SB XLIX. Offseason begins

It shouldn't have been thrown for PI, it should've been thrown for holding, as Hitchens was pulling on dude's shirt beforehand. I actually thought that was a very good play by Hitchens until they showed replays. Lions got scammed there and some other plays, but the Lions also only scored like 3 points in the second half. Can't blame the refs when your offense doesn't move much, nor if your defense gives up critical 3rd downs.

We stopped them on 3rd downs, the refs gave them calls and 2nd chances. Go sit your *** down

Yes, the refs did give them calls and 2nd chances, but they also did give up 3rd downs and huge conversions in general. Had they not, the defense would've gotten off the field sooner and gave the offense chances to close the game.

check the pats thread. no one has forgotten

DeMarcus Lawrence fumbled on purpose just so he could get the game clinching sack to make himself look like the Cowboys' savior and hero.

Dat Triple H booking.

 One, Two,...Is this on?

Although that DPI/no DPI play was huge. Detroit still had Dallas in a 4th and 6 right after and couldn't get a stop :rolleyes

The fact they threw this then provided no explanation is the issue.

But if j think there is no pi on that there is nothing i can do to help you
So the issue is the lack of an explanation and not the play itself? Hmmm..Exactly! And why you need an explanation if you know everything there is about football?

And I definitely don't need help from a dope like you.

Yea cause Romo had all day cause they were blatantly holding on every play that drive. Refer to pages ago with pictures

Real talk, give Dallas credit for making the plays. Lions had them on a 4th down and couldn't stop 'em, Lions f'ed a punt, Stafford had the ball in his hands to win it and couldn't get it done. Still... I've never seen **** like that happen after announcing a call. Maybe the refs forgot to huddle up before announcing the call IDK. It just looked terrible.

Oh damn.

You are literally making this up.

Not a single Pats fan or current analyst is counting out your team right now, especially after their history in Foxborough.

Your "underdog vs. the world" card was permanently revoked after the Ray Rice **** so let's cut that mess.
I've been seeing a lot of comments from fans on other forums calling for a blowout from the Pats. Why involve Rice in this?

Funny how all over the place they are talking about the call

But we got professionals on here saying it was not a DPI

Sucks that the Lions got screwed but Jim Caldwell's dumb self also needs to be ripped for punting on 4th & 1 in Cowboys territory.

The punter blew that kick. Should've had the punter from Alabama. That guy is money

I wish this same crew reffed all the eagles games. Bradley Fletcher would've been getting away with so much ish!

I've flipped back from ESPN and NFLN and not one person gave their interpretation. In fact, they're talking like it could have gone either way, but the real problem is how the refs picked up the flag after they said it was a penalty.

It's funny you say that... was talking to a friend (Lion's fan) who thought Caldwell should be in the running for COTY.

I told him to wait until after the first playoff game to make that call. Playoff Caldwell is something else.

Welp... after today...
