Be stunning to pull Helfrich out of Oregon. Native Oregonian, can't see him leaving the school without being let go.

We have the driver's seat to the division title, we completely blow it and miss the playoffs.

Always trying to keep us down man. I was 4 during our last playoff win, been a fan all my life, through the good, the really bad, the false hope. For the refs to impact the game I feel robbed as a fan of an NFL team, the NFL legit stole from me. **** them. Lions have been having to win at the odds of officials for years. I am sure other teams have too, but I notice it the most since I have watched every Detroit game for the last 5+ years. Sucks having to sit through this bull

He must mean that hiring Koetter = drafting Mariota.

helfrich ain't ever leaving imo, going to have to pry that program from his cold dead hands.

The NBA stole the 2006 Finals from me.

Yall too young to remember but the reason I hate the Lakers so much is because the refs stole the 88 Finals from the Pistons. My Dad told me that day I should hate the Lakers and I have since.

We'll be back. We bringing back the whole crew next year, draft another guard sign a SS and we wavy.

I'm telling yall man winning it after having it stolen makes it that much more sweeter.

That would be nuts if we did hire Helfrich, but I was just saying if we hire Koetter it looks like Mariota is definitely our guy. And I'd actually be a lot more comfortable drafting him since we'd have a guy that would know how to use him.

Know how to use him don't make him suddenly start throwing NFL passes. Bill Walsh could be the OC, I still haven't seen anticipated throws to pre break receivers in small windows, ever from MM8.

If they draft and stash for 2 years, ok, but plug & play day 1? Pickin a new QB in 2017.
 
Never a good sign if the other teams fans would happily see the guy leave..

I may not believe in MM, but that message from Jeremiah could mean a lot of things. Smokescreen, up trade values, lack of depth in prospects after MM/Winston, etc.

As of now, I think the consensus is high praise of Marcus, maybe the combine will chip away at that, but that doesn't mean much to me. They tore down Teddy and hyped Bortles, so meh.

I have my own doubts, but maybe he'll prove me dead wrong.
 
"This is the last thing I’m going to say about the “controversial” Cowboys game. If you want to discuss this further with me, call into my radio show Wednesday at 7 PM. I’ll post the link and number then.

Here is my issues. Was the call bad? Yeah, it should of been defensive holding. However, you have to remember face guarding is legal in the NFL, not in college. Also, video evidence showed Pettigrew grabbed Hitchens facemask, that was also not called. People will make the case Dez should of been flagged for unsportsmanlike, and rightfully so. That’s fine. I am not arguing that the refs blew it on this play. What I’m saying is we can go back into this game and look at other plays the same way that were blown, benefiting both teams. If there was any call that should of been made here, it should of been illegal use of hands on Detroit, defensive holding on Dallas, penalties off-setting.

But if we are going to play the “what if game” then everyone needs to be objective about it.

Did anyone actually watch the first half of this game? Did they see how many calls the Lions got away with? Probably. Did they say a word? No, because it was going against Dallas.

Before I go into why everyone who’s complaining about this game needs to seriously calm down, I want to remind you all that Suh was suspended for this game, and that was overturned, yet Lions fans sure didn’t have an issue with that, did they?

So let’s go into the game and how horrible this game was officiated on both sides.

2nd quarter: 5:20 left, Cowboys punter Chris Jones punts a ball. A Lions player runs into him. People argue that he was blocked into our punter, but upon further review, he clearly makes a second effort, meaning that running into the kicker should have been called on Detroit. It was not.

2nd quarter: 2:23 left, Lions punt and Cowboys returner Dwayne Harris calls for a fair catch. A Lions player runs into him making contact. Their was a flag flown, however it was for holding on Dallas. No flag thrown for fair catch interference, however. Once again, Detroit catches a break.

2nd quarter: 1:55 left, Cowboys WR Terrance Williams is being held and shoved into another Detroit defender. Flags fly. Offensive PI called on Terrance Williams. Wait, what? Fortunately the next play, Williams made up for the bad call by the ref and scored a long TD.

2nd quarter: 20 seconds left, Cowboys lineman Jeremy Mincey was being held and thrown down, right in front of the ref. It was an obvious holding call, but no flag was thrown on Lions. This gave Stafford enough time to complete a pass for a first down.

3rd quarter: First play of game. Jeremy Mincey once again held. Fortunately he was able to still bat down the ball, leading to an INT.

4th quarter: 14:55 left. Cole Beasley caught a pass and a Lions defender came across the middle and made a hit against a defense less receiver. You can’t make the argument, it was the right call.

4th quarter: Final Cowboys drive. Jason Witten is being blatantly held and contacted passed 5 yards on a critical 3rd and 6 that resulted in an incompletion. NO flag was thrown. Even Joe Buck and Troy Aikman recognized this play

But everyone is going to talk about the call that went Dallas’ way for two simple reasons. 1, the refs handled it poorly. 2, it’s Dallas and people love to hate.

My point is, if your going to complain about a bad call, you need to have an objective view and look at all the horrible calls made in this game on both sides.

The last thing I will say, is the NFL should of never had a crew call a game, when that crew didn’t officiate together all year. Period, end of story.

The Cowboys didn’t get away with cheating. They didn’t steal this game. That call happened with over 8:30 left. It wasn’t a situation where Detroit was going to be ale to run out the clock. Quit trying to justify this win by blaming the refs just because your mad Tony Romo and Dallas proved a lot of you wrong by being able to win big in December and now in the playoffs.

If a player is pushed into the kicker, it negates the running into the kicker penalty..

That vine only shows the player running into the kicker and nothing that proceeded it
 
Also that penalty would have meant a 5 yard penalty and still been 4th and long, so 5 yards off the punt

It's about the least impactful penalty possible.
