Unpopular Opinions 2014.... Jimmies PreRustled

Fantasy football relies so heavily on luck since a touchdown trumps any other method of scoring by far. We've seen cases in football where a defensive player checks into the game on offense and scores a touchdown on their only offensive play; how is that in any way predictable? Fantasy basketball for example has a stronger level of consistency for players.

Sure I understand that there's some luck involved in anything, but if you'd rather play in a league where luck is a much larger factor then it says something about your fantasy abilities.

How can you cosign on that being stupid when you don't even know of any other fantasy sport?

That makes zero sense.

Doesnt a TD.trump any other form of scoring in real life.

You want TDs and FGs to score the same?

Yes it does and not at all.

Think about it like this, a random player like in the example I used can check into the game (sometimes one that shouldn't even be on the field at all) for 6-7 seconds and provide the most possible fantasy points than any other fantasy sport player could in such a short amount of time. If a basketball player checked into the game for 6-7 seconds or even a minute they could provide nowhere near the same impact to sway a fantasy game.

Again, that goes back to being how reliant the game is on luck compared to other fantasy sports.

Lol *** often does that happen?

If the defensive player scores on a run, nobody gets points.

If the QB throws to the defensive player the QB gets the points so it wouldn't matter who caught the ball.

Your logic is flawed go back to sleep.

Even if the receiving defensive player gets no points it still takes away points from players who "should" be scoring that touchdown who are fantasy owned.

A better example would be a strictly goalline back who's low on the depth chart. That kind of thing happens every week.

It all comes down to this: If you were going to bet money or test your abilities on something would you rather leave it more so to knowledge of the game/skill or more up to chance like with fantasy football?

To answer your defensive player question though, JJ Watt scored last week. Mike Vrabel had 12 receiving touchdowns in his career which is more than several fantasy-owned wide receivers.

Don't even get me started about how prevalent football injuries are compared to other sports. There's more consistency in Ryan Matthews or Darren McFadden getting hurt each year than there is in them scoring a touchdown each week. Injuries derail fantasy teams obviously so isn't the most injury prone league introducing even more luck into the equation?

For the most part, non rap music is awful.

R&B is far and away the worst genre of music.

Nope

It just sounds like NTers are resorting to personal insults because they can't handle a well-reasoned argument in defense of an opinion

Agreed on the first part, but the 2nd? C'mon B. What you slayin' chics to, or playing when y'all just vibing trying to reach that point on a date? I guess Jason Derula type music is more pop than rnb (the white chics love it if you're into them though), but unless you consider Neo Soul a separate genre and rock with that over rnb, I'm bout to report you.

I think NT is ridiculously chauvinistic and most opinions on here regarding the subject are people frontin' and being sheep. Also, y'all overaggrandize the hell out of Anglo Saxon women.

Michael Jordan did get dunked on by John Starks on the lefty leaner

The dressing better thread, chill out. Not as bad as it was in he niidawg era but what is yall ****** doing paying all that money for that grotesque, trendy clothing?

My avatar is the best on NT

Tipping is stupid, and people should do their jobs because they can be replaced (particularly jobs that don't have a prerequisite education or skill level) and are being paid to do so. Similarly, owners should have to pay those workers a regular wage and adjust their prices accordingly if they have to do so to maintain profit margin.

More people should move to the center of the country.

Neo Soul is also bad. When I'm around people I've learned to tolerate their music choices, but Drake easily fills that lane that you speak of.

Waits for tipping debate.

I can't agree with you either from a gambling perspective.
You mean that you wouldn't rather put your money on other fantasy leagues compared to football?
I put my money on many but I don't see how I'd be at a disadvantage if on a given day I put more money on several bets of a football game than a basketball one or hockey.

Some of the same stuff you get points for is the same stuff that can be bet on. Obvious stuff aside if you study the game you can do pretty good fantasy or gambling wise.

If some weak 8th string WR runs it back for a TD on a special teams play I don't say he was lucky I blame the special teams defense of the other team. Same thing for defensive players involved in offensive plays or w/e.

In any game you can't account for everything. Sounds like you want a more controlled game where it's easier to predict and avoid things that come out of the blue. Problem is you can't really predict Magic playing center in the finals and racking up blocks or a pitcher hitting a hr in the NL.
