I wish my CJ IDs were that deeper, more purpleish shade of burgundy. Merlot, I guess. Almost bordeaux-ish.

These are very nice. On another note the DH really isn't all that bad at all the pink part is very manageable and I think we are all coming around to it.

Something about the CONSTANT use of PEs by signature athletes rubs me the wrong way. It's almost like another symptom of the "ME ME all about ME" generation. That's one of the reasons no one will ever touch MJ in that respect. The dude did everything in (what are now called) GRs that everyone could buy. You could lace up a pair of black/red 14s and go shoot your own "last shot" in your driveway or at the park.

Man if I could come up with sick PEs (1 of 1s) I would be all over that. I'd wear some of my GRs but the PEs would be popping.

If Nike released all the PEs it would be too much, yeah Jordan gave us his colorways but those were basically all he wore. we'd have meh colorways, a lot of them.

Lebron will wear more PEs than release pairs but it's the culture we live in now, exclusivity is the cornerstone of the shoe game...in all honesty most NBA PEs suck in my eyes (Colleges get way better iterations) but it just sucks that he will wear 1 or 2 pairs that we can buy. I feel what Tigo is saying 100% You don't get to own that piece of history or memory from a great game unless Nike releases it in some "pack" for $500.
- Kids like loud colorways on shoes today
- Lebron can't wear the six meridians for example as they are not team colors.
- Previous reason is what Nike has yet to find a balance between in terms of releasing both simple and louder CW's
- I doubt lebron sits in Nike meetings telling them not to release certain CW's or maybe he does
theres probably more reasons, and its been this way since the LeBron 8, the amount of unreleased 8's is shocking if i'm someone at Nike and thinking how many of these shoes would have sold. Half the time Nike has no problems making a good model its really the colorways that end up deciding if the shoe sells or not.

You have to understand that both social media and the internet were not prevalent in the 90s and MJ's career was all but done in the early 00s when the aforementioned were in their infancy. Additionally the whole concept of 'limited' or 'premium' type sneakers let alone PEs/1 of 1s did not quite exist - as Nike was not marketing their product like they do now.
I'm certain if MJ had access to PEs back then he would be wearing a different shoe every game.

Lol, ya I went to look at my NSRL's and was thinking I had the exclusive 5+1 zoom pods since it was colored match. But after seeing the dissection pic again foiled… they're all 4 and one heel haha.
