I've got a theory as to why LBJ switched out of the elites and into regular 12s last game:

The lacing on the elites near the forefoot curve inward. The flywire also follows that mold, so I think (could be waaaay off here lol) when he laces them tight the pull is felt opposite end of the forefoot from where the curve is, making his jacked up pinky toes feel super cramped/pinched...

Elite PE tonight are pretty nice. I would prefer no yellow though even though it matches perfectly with their unis.

I think the swoosh placement is what makes the Elites less appealing. I know people didn't like the clear plastic on the reds but there's a lot of flexibility with the colors considering you can make the front plastic and back plastic different colors

I use insoles from http://www.roadrunnersports.com/

I have flat feet so I use a support insole ($29). In some of my shoes, this insole can cause squeaking as the hard carbon arch piece can rub against a part of the shoe's interior, so I just use baby powder and/or petroleum jelly for a little lubrication to quiet down the squeaking.
