Tried on the elites today. Now, this is based on ~10 minutes of walking, jumping when no one was looking, and flexing, the "elite" branding of this particular model has to be a huge sham!
Well, I'm reminded of my initial gripes with the elite series at the onset with the 9s. A thought shared by many that ALL the supposed best attributes should be used from the start. Those feelings aside, I personally didn't think these were superior to the regular version, but I can't comment much so I may be totally wrong.
I think the 7 & 8 strategies were much better as well. The shoes got lighter to accommodate the end of a long season and post-season.

I think for me personally the Elites so far have had too much going on with the way this shoe is designed and how the color blocking plays out.
Messed around with the colors/options on iD for about an hour and just couldn't get anything to look right.
I have a feeling the rose gold's will be my favorite for that reason, will have a smooth look to them due to the simplicity of the color blocking.
Maybe even throw in some black laces to really stealth them out.

Elites threw out the posite for plastic, and added one more zoom pod where you're least likely to actually put pressure on it. Not that the quilted northern sockliner goes unappreciated. But $75 premium? Nahhh.
