I tried strong arming it with a BS timbs eraser, then I went in on the dish soap and toothbrush; I even tried to start scraping it down lightly with a razor ... no dice

Yea I tried lightly with a razor and got some of the bigger chunks off but it's from the pedals in my car. The rubber rubbing against the black plastic seems to have died the top layer on them.

Thus the reason I never drive with my right shoe on if they are kicks that I care about creasing or marking up. Try some hand sanitizer. I've gotten several marks off of my foams with it.

Sometimes I keep a pair of driving kicks in the car to slip on and off so I don't mess up a nice pair with driving dirt. I notice the dirt more on the back of the heel of the right shoe.

wouldn't that just make it a release and negate the PE aspect entirely.
