bad materials...wrong numbers...Nike really nailed this one!

Stuff like this makes you wonder how much control or how much involvement Nike has over their manufacturing. I work in a corporate environment and I've seen projects with layers of middlemen - the end result is that you a get a deliverable that just barely meets the original requirements.

The # is not too big of a deal but with Nike running vinyls and prints these days it should've been an easy fix. The defective lace eyelets are just shoddy manufacturing - the factory probably tried to save some money by using a cheaper glue.

no shade but i don't think i've seen you post a lace swap at all

been swapping since back in middle school....i think the only swap i have posted is the extra green laces from the Xmas 11 into the GKs....i took the GK laces and put them in the XI hornets....other swaps have been mostly done on my J's though!

yeah the same, lace swapped everything or did crazy lace ideas like the spider web and all kinds of things back then now i do more subtle and simple laceswap but i hardly leave the original laces in any shoe i get

I think the issue is with the eyelets not being glued properly, or maybe they actually will go back and change the 6 to 23. LRJ actually makes sense since his middle name is Raymone, so those are his actual initials. Some of his Lebron III PEs had LRJ stitched in too.

The IVs have LRJ on them too

They'd more realistically just extend the life of the XII accordingly.

That would be kind of difficult since they're already working on the XIII

and Lebrons coincide with the start of the basketball season.

Extending the the XII would cut in to the XIII or it would be like the KD(6 elites and 7's) where they are releasing the new model on top of the old one.

Regardless this was bad for Nike. I wonder if he talked to Nike about this 23 and 6 decision.

his name is represented on the shoe, it's his signature series, he's supposed to sign off on the shoe, wear them, etc. Basically what you're saying, they might as well not even be lebrons, Just nikes. What else would be the point of signature shoes.
