man, this was the perfect time for them to drop, cause october was kind of empty as far as pick ups go, so i might of just copped the nsrl on rd

but now watch them drop when all types of other stuff that i wants is dropping

so the shoes are being sent back for the 6 being on the bottom? that must be a Lebron request or preference. it was known well before hand that the 6 was on the bottom before they were sent to stores. the pictures of the lace becoming unglued seem more like an issue to me, unless the number is something to hide behind, until the lacing issue is fixed....

--sounds much better P.R. wise to say it's a number change issue, instead of glue issue...

According to this yes.. i think it might be the lace problem as well tho

I read the issue is because of the the shoe having 6 and not 23 and spellgin LRJ and not LBJ, this can't be true rite?
footlocker manager told me today that the issue was the 6 on the bottom, she says the nsrls shipment was "intercepted" and the red ones were removed from her manifest, no release date given. hopefully they drop in the next couple weeks. its already getting cold around here and whatever this shoe is made of it doesnt look like it will keep you foot warm or dry like the 8,9,10,& 11s did.

I'm about 77% sure that's what it is

somebody already got a pair on ebay for $350. They even put "recalled" in the title, like that's a selling point or something :smh:

There will be ppl that purchase them.

I hope the NSRL's don't take until dec. to drop. Don't want a black friday release, either. That day in NY is unreal.

So..... Does this mean they're scrapping all the recalled pairs and making fresh ones? Or does this mean we'll be getting pairs that were taken apart and reconstructed? Cuz that sounds like a nightmare. I can already imagine getting a pair with excess glue all over the top eyelets and misaligned tpu plates :smh:

Where is the 6 on the outsole?

I've seen a bunch a pics of the XIIs and didn't notice.

I just lost interest seeing as how this has unfolded so far. It seems as though Nike is just trying to address the quality/glue issues and the number thing is just a cover up. Its a shame that it wasn't more widespread (I firmly believe based on this whole debacle they should drop the price on these a little bit)....we know they won't though.

I will cop if they hit discounts. I can't justify spending $200+ tax on a shoe if its not made as well. Being a little older (34 years) and conscious of how i spend...durability and quality are very important.....seems like these might disappoint in that aspect.

I still believe it's the eyelet issue...I can't see them taking that kind of hit on all the already assembled pairs putting new soles, pull tabs on the heel, shank plates just for the number that is not really super visible then also putting new eyelets on them, or just scrapping all those already made pairs.  I think the "fixed" pairs will just have better eyelets on them, more glue like everyone said.  It was reported by several that only certain batches had the eyelet issue, and none of the weartesters that have pairs have encountered that issue...yet.  So probably just send them all back for glue then ship them back out.  Just to fix the eyelets would take a couple months, so December makes sense to me.

I highly doubt the recall is for the "6". Simply because they knew well in enough in advance that they could have halted shipment to stores to fix that issue. It's definitely the eyelet situation.

so No lebrons from now Until December?

Hard to beleive nike would take that kind of hit.. especially since they are used to releasing a pair once every 1-2 weeks, to take 2 months off releasing lebrons??

That just means they're gonna come back with a vengeance :smh:

I'm expecting on seeing 3 maybe even 4 releases per month now :x

And I'll just be sitting back waiting on the discounts :nerd: :pimp:

I think the VIII V1 and possibly the VIII V2 (with it's firm plastic upper) were the last pairs that you could stomp around in the cold/snow with. IX and above have too many mesh panels, while the XII is entirely mesh.
