(Not me)

But my boy went to Princeton on a basketball scholarship then got kicked out for some street ****.

He ended up getting picked up by FDU which then gave him a full ride as well.

I go to Cornell and I spent this year studying abroad at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Study math and econ; its cool but I'm starting to lose focus/interest.

Stanford alum here

Btw you don't have to go to a prestigious school to be an "intellectual"

I'm at fdu now. F this school. Stay sending letters every year saying how we know times are hard for everyone but we gonna increase the tuition anyways

Wait until you graduate jobless and get the letter asking for alumni donations

I got accepted to cornell but didn't go if that counts. I really wanted to go to Columbia after HS, got rejected doeee.

Your boy lied... Ivy's don't give athletic scholarships (not saying he didn't go there and maybe they just got creative with his merit scholarship awards).

Just graduated from Yale (MBA) and did a study abroad semester at LSE&PS (London School of Economics and Political Science). My brother goes to Yale also.

I am the furthest thing from being an intellectual.

Ivy's don't give out merit scholarships either. Everything is need-based, if I recall correctly. that being said, their need-based financial aid is better than many other schools, so for many athletes it's actually cheaper to go to Ivy Leagues as opposed to other colleges that may have more competitive sports teams.

colleges are such a joke. despicable how they've been pushed on people. education should never be pimped or sold. it's a human right.

Ehhhh, there are ways to go if you want that make it easier to attended. Scholarships, grants, sports, military. The opportunity is there. Problem is people coast past highschool then want to jump to college. Those are the people that end up in debt if they go at all. education is a human right but college is a luxury.

You are probably right, I was only certain about the athletic bit. I was just going off of my PG experience, school threw money at me and I caught it.

He had amazing SAT scores in math (like genius level) but he was a knuckle head who was great at ball so it was mostly for ball he says his scores just helped.
