I look back fondly on the days of my Jordan 18s, whatever they put in those soles made it feel like walking on a cloud; they were the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned.

Alas, i dont have then anymore, and now i am getting into easy pace recreational running. What nike running shoes have the most padding/softness/comfort in the soles?

Hopefully there's something available in all or mostly black, but the top priority is comfort and cushion.

Air max 2014/ nike lunarglide works well for me personally. But those 18s had double stacked zoom which is amazing!

Nike Air Pegasus 30

Nike Air Pegasus 31 iD with the cushioned option and not the responsive (IE all stocked 31s on store shelves are the responsive sole, you might like it however but best to test fit)

Nike Zoom Vomero 7 and 8 (9 is the 2014 model but they cost MSRP 130, if you can find it for below that price sure if not try to find the 7/8 on clearance as the 7, 8, 9 share the same sole layout)

Nike Lunarglide 5 (skip the 6 if you can find the 5 on the store shelves)

Nike Lunareclipse 4 (basicly if the Lunarglide is a Toyota Camry the Lunareclipse is the Toyota Avalon.  Plusher and more features for a higher price point)

Good luck.

If you're willing to go out and look at other brands I suggest looking at Hoka One One, Adidas Boost series, Asics GEL series, and Under Armour MicroG shoes.

I agree, they r the best. Not too much response and more cushioning that's great for people who need that extra midsole support

If you want to stick with Nike you could try the vomero, lunarglide or pegasus. Personally the lunarglide and pegus works well  for me. The vomero is just a tad bit too soft for my liking, but super comfy for work. When it comes to asking for suggestions its kind of hard. We dont know if you over-pronate, toe runner, mid-forefoot runner, things like that.  If theres a chance you over-pronate you should try the zoom structure and the lunar eclipse. But like someone else said, try a bunch and see what works for you in terms of fit, cushion and stability. Good luck with your search.
