THE STRAIN on FX -- from Guillermo Del Toro -- Sunday, July 13 at 10pm

Cell service was down but the boyfriend got a hold of the FBI instantly...there's been so many witnesses that have seen the vampires yet they do nothing...this show sucks

Ok, got it. I don't really pay too much attention to this show cause it bores me most of the time; usually just have it on in the background

Its really a mediocre show. Certain scenes are laughably terrible.
It has a cheap look to it, which doesnt suit the show well.
But I guess the story is decent so we keep coming back.

It's just a way to kill an hour late Sunday night.

 Mediocre? Everything isn't Game of Thrones, but this show is good what it is supposed to be. The Walking Dead should be taking notes. Everything has been properly paced and it doesn't feel like any episodes have been filler. Yeah, there are stupid moments at time, but those are forgiveable.

The Walking Dead is complete trash though.

It is, which I brought it up. The Strain is what TWD should be.
I'm saying comparing most things to TWD isn't an argument.

Like if I say Applebees food is average it is not a rebuttal to say garbage from a trash can is worst.

And on the opposite side of the spectrum when shows like GoT raise the bar more of that quality begin to set the new standard so you can't be mad is somebody says this show is mediocre. IF you're gonna bring up TWD that just means that show is even worse than mediocre which it is.

Thanks to strong ratings, FX is renewing The Strain for a 13-episode second season.

Factoring in video on demand and online viewing, The Strain is averaging 11 million viewers weekly.

I had no idea it had such strong viewership

Them FBI and CDC cats got me scratching my head tho. How they gon ignore the fact that there are things walking around that shoots long-*** tongues out of their mouths and attacks people?? :smh:

This show might be my favorite show on TV right now, and that's including Ray Donovan, Tyrant, Power and Suits.

The action and escalation of the story grab me every week. I've been looking for a show to replace my Breaking Bad void. GoT is kinda slow to me. Power was good, but only 8 episodes. Ray Donovan is still good in it's second season, but i don't look forward to the episodes like i do for The Strain.

Don't see what's wrong with that.

It's a specific genera show so you can't really suggest a Ray Donovan and really other than that I can't think of anything on air right now that is just a million times better.

for some reason I've been watching this from the beginning. Most things don't add up in the story, but its entertaining nonetheless. Holding out hope that it gets more interesting when they start explaining the ancient source of the virus.

I enjoy it, and it's not really a genre I'm into. I guess I'm curious to see where it goes. I've been entertained so far, and that's all that matters.

Currently watching some preseason football, then switching to this, my Sundays are the most unproductive, non eventful greatest day of the week.
