Dame Dash says Steve Stoute is a "Culture Robber"...

Slightly unrelated but the video of him talking about Hov/Solange from this same interview is funny as hell

dame dash is that dude. he aint stiff like the rest of these cats cause he made his money and does everything independent now. but did he all the time? i dont know that answer...but at the end of the day dame is real as hell

Dame & Cam have always been funny to me, idk why...wish thry had a show or somethin

There's no doubt that record companies plundered "the culture" but lets be real, these dudes sold their souls just to get a dollar... Dame's one of those dudes that sold his soul too & let himself get the rug pulled out from under him... He is funny though. Always has been. Rap music has turned into one long commercial for brands & lifestyle...

care to elaborate?

What's there to elaborate? You don't know the story of the rise & fall (really the rebranding) of Roc-A-Fella & Dame's part in it? That period of hip hop saw the introduction of crass commercialism into hip hop & turned it into what it is today. Every song & vid from that era began sounding like a liquor or car commercial... It wasn't hip hop, it was lifestyle music...

I wasnt disagreeing just curious what you meant by it

but you're right.

I rock with Dame. Always checked for him because we actually seem to have quite a few things in common.

I hope he's good with his now. But he just seems a bit lost with all of his ventures. Like he's trying to prove he can do more than music, but I can't tell if any of it is really connecting.

Watched this a few days ago.

I REALLY **** with Dame because he always seemed like the type to put on for his team regardless of circumstance... I hope both him & IRV both continue to push on a smaller scale w/o the help of big business because they have the kind of passion to really make an impact on the culture.

I honestly think him & Jay both want something similar in the end however they have a discrepency on how they want to do it. Dame wants to kick the buildings down from the jump, while jay thinks it can be done from the inside out, either way i applaud both for how they move.
