Jay has made his intensions VERY clear from the start, trust that he WANTS control and the ability to shape the culture, he however feels that just straight up going against the corporations and pitting yourself in a battle against an industry isn't going to be in your best interest.
On the other end Dame straight up clearly dislikes the hierarchy of these industries and refuses to play by their rules, in the short term it hasn't worked, but we have to realize that these guys are only in their mid 40's and have already has this type of success respectively.
But even from RD they made it clear what they want "We don't lease we buy the whole thing as you should".
