Dame Dash says Steve Stoute is a "Culture Robber"...

No, Joey is head of urban music at Interscope. Dame is crying because Combat gave him an opportunity to give his side.

Gotcha just started the interview this morning, was wondering if he was going to ask. IDK what dame was thinking.

Star went at Ebro the other day too

Dame is showing what a lot of people already know. Just give them enough rope and let them hang themselves.

A lot of y'all still missing the bigger picture in all of this.

People not from within our culture have controlled the culture for far too long...with bad intentions. Dame got caught up in it too...and is now trying to clear his conscious and educate people on the specifics of this problem and some of the people behind it.

Call him salty or bitter if you want. There's still truth in everything that he is saying.

There's truth

But you also have to look at the messenger.

It's like believing Mase as a preacher. It doesn't matter what he says, it's backsliding Mase.

Dame is seen as the dude bragging about not wearing a pair of socks or Uptown's twice. If Dame was on top, would he still be so vocal?

Who's going to talk about the dangers and problems with the NFL, the player still playing or the player who's retired? Dame didn't use his power for good to initiate change while he was on top. He has no voice now. He's the guy screaming at the top of his lungs in an empty forest. He has no power in the music industry.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

If Dame was doing so well financially why he talking about it in every interview?

Asking people "when you saw me, did I look like I was struggling?"
Like wtf?

Dame has been saying EVERYTHING he's saying now for the past 10 years.... I **** with Kanye and i'm not saying he should be paying Biggs Legal fees & **** like that but if the man really did believe in you and helped start you up, he deserves a phone call atleast that's just being honest.

Everytime i hear dame speak on these subjects he always comes off as extremely passionate about it and extremely intelligent, I refuse to be mad about it.

50 said it best... "everybody mad when they paper don't stack right"

Dame dropping gems and dudes worried bout his money?

typical NT lets ignore the message and pick apart the messenger

This way of thinking is exactly why Dame continues to speak on this subject over & over and it's just not stickin with ya'll :smh:. What does him not being on top of music have to do with him telling people not to take 360's and not be taken advantage of by people in the business.

When he was with ROC, he gave Everyone a chance, started dudes up with record labels, clothing deals, endorsements etc etc... & to my knowledge none of these products they promoted were against what they stood for or negatively impacted their brand.

And what do you mean still on top?... the man has several businesses, Is still wealthy & has 100% control of his life & companies. To top it off Dame has always been fighting for his artist to get fair deals & making sure EVERYONE knew that him Jay & Biggs weren't DefJam employees they were bosses in a partnership. None of what dame is doing today is contradicting the way he moved back then.

I think a lot of this disdain is coming from people feeling that supporting Dame is slighting Jay & ViceVersa.... which is also something he brought up in his earlier interviews. This isn't about Relevance or lost power betwn him & Jay... The problem is

WHY are guys who care nothing about the culture of hiphop or the neighborhoods that are directly affected by it allowed to control and manipulate every aspect about the culture and get no blame for it.

Every few weeks we hear a ban against a rapper or some think piece about why so & so is slowly destroying the community... these people never have anything to say about the real heads of the labels who all happen to be in their 50's and jewish.

The difference is he wasn't doing this when he had Rocafella

Dame right now is Monie Love or Freddie Foxxx talking about rap music today. They're right, but they have no real voice to initiate change within the music industry. Dame had that power, but didn't use it while he had it.

And was Dame was visiting and giving money to Beans, Neef, Oschino, Peedi or JR Writer? Nobody owes you anything. Kanye would be supporting half of Chicago.

So Mase deserves to be on Good Music?
Does D Dot deserve to be producing on Kanye's album?

Yes it is.

Armadale, Pro Keds, Rocafella, Rocawear

None of that was about ownership. It was about promotion and using other peoples money and having your name on it. He just fronted like it was ownership, which is no different than a 360.

Now Dame is about ownership?

It's easy to say you're about ownership when you have Jay-Z.

Start from scratch and initiate change from within it, instead of just talking to anyone who will give you a platform. That makes you no different than Star or Jamar giving their opinion to Vlad.
