TERMINATOR THREAD - T2 turns 30 July 3

It's like Back 2 the Future 2 where they go back to the same time but have other versions there.

This is a small petty thing I hate but I wish they got the casting right with John Connors. They all look way too different from each movie. At least the Sarah Connor girl in this movie looks like Linda Hamilton.

I wish more movies would do what they did in Looper where they used prostetics to make the same people who are different ages look similar.

So a terminator went back in time to raise Sarah? WTH?

Most likely "protect" her like the one in T2 was supposed to with John. I'm not sure if it was due to the quick cuts but it looks like Arnie shoots another Arnie-looking Terminator so maybe since there was no danger until Daniel Bryan comes back, he had plenty of time to train Sarah. Just an idea.

Jon probably sent it back in time but its not making much sense to me either

Trailer looked horrible to me.

And looks like they are doing the Xmen thing with rebooting it while continuing the story. At

Terminator 3 already solidified that you can't stop anything from happening. Everything else they make is just redundancy.

It's like having more hunger games knowing damn well the main girl isn't going to die

Man with all the paradox this series could go on forever. I know it's a money maker, but just give us a conclusion. Reboot after that if you want to.

A conclusion would be "ok" but a reboot would be trash. Half the reason the movie was what it was is because of YOUNG Arnold, ground breaking action scenes (for the time), new twist in story (for the time) and of course the special effects. Some things just can't be recreated

Only thing looking good in that trailer is Emilia Clarke. :wow:

Will still probably watch though.

Man dragging out the series is trash. T1, T2 and the TV series should've been it.

If I remember right the 3D ride at Universal Studios had you break into and destroy Skynet. Otherwise, good luck with a final resolution for the series lol.

Will always watch though. The concept is interesting.

YES. It was for the most part. 3 was a horrible cash grab that came out of nowhere and salvation was made because they saw even a bad terminator movie could make money.

^^^^Yeah that's why I said I liked the nod to the OG T1 movie for the reused scenes.

Think of this as the Terminator version of DOFP that just wipes out the first 2 movies.

My theory for this is that just like in T2 when the humans sent back a reprogrammed Terminator to John Connor, this time they intercepted and reprogrammed the first Arnold Terminator and maybe they also sent him back further than originally planned.

Time Travel is wacky but yall remember that show FlashForward? They explain that time is like a virtual fork in the road and that not multiple futures exist at the same time.

For example the first Terminator was on say a line like this ------ but since it was somehow altered that timeline remain intact in one reality but those changes created another reality line like this for example ____ So now you have the original timeline ---------- and the altered one _______

Since Kyle was sent back from the original timeline he probably landed in the new timeline.

Yeah the Arnold terminator is designated T-800 and from what was said awhile back all of them were molded after the human they captured so all designated T-800 models look like Arnold. Pretty much terminator stormtroopers.
