I know the Jay-Z Solange elevator scuffle has been talked about ad nauseum on NT but I don't think anyone has addressed it from this angle yet. Whoopi Goldberg, one of the hosts of the View, pretty much said that Jay-Z should've hit Solange back.

I don't know how some of you guys were raised, but I was taught that adults don't settle disputes through physical means and if you choose to settle things that way, be ready to face the consequences, regardless of gender. Thoughts? Why do women get a pass on not controlling their emotions? The same way I wouldn't step to some Shaq-sized dude and not expect to get tossed is the same way a woman should tread lightly when speaking to someone who is a physical threat to them. Thoughts NT?
