OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

looks like im going 2-2 with my only wins coming in both NT leagues.

cousins and mccoy gave me nothing, while antonio brown and cobb gave me a fighting chance in my  main league.

only good thing about that league was that i was able to swing a shorts for v-jax early in the morning, im getting v-jax. he should post better production with glennon as the qb.

my roster is is deep with wr's in that league: brown, cobb, cooks, crabtree and now v-jax.

need a TE.. my best options are:

heath miller

amaro

ebron

garrett graham

seferian-jenkins

pettigrew

also anyone got any idea what's the latest with Jordan reed?

heath miller, jenkins, graham

reed's injury is still lingering...wouldnt count on him even if he does come back

This entire season I've been stuck with the dilemma of Roddy, Steve Smith, DJax & Maclin (playing one as my flex in a PPR). Moving forward DJax is on the bench until this boy can get some consistency going

Might even try to swindle a trade for a RB2 or a RBFlex. Anyone have any ideas on who I can probably pursue? Maybe a CJ Spiller or a Fred Jackson?

Also...second week in a row the Carolina Defense has got me negative points. I haven't really watched any of their games this season. How worried should I be and should I start looking for a replacement? I see Dallas as available in my league...(probably not dropping Carolina but benching til improvement is shown...)

Tied and the other guy has no players left. Here's the scenerio though. I see that Charles is listed as probable tonoght. Should I start vereen or go with knile davis? I just need one point!

I'm 3-1 right now. It is a 10 man standard league. Here is my team. I got offered his Megatron and sanky for my Gio and cordarrelle. What do you guys think?

I swear I'm never posting trade scenarios on here ever again....earlier in the season people here told me not to trade Chris Johnson for Steve Smith. This weekend they told me not to trade Reggie Bush and Mike Evans for Trent Richardson, Keenan Allen and Decker. Then told me not to drop Mike Evans for Bridgewater.

Never. Ever. Again.

I do appreciate the talks about fantasy though.

That being said, here's a trade offer of my own . Someone proposed it to me last night. PPR league, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR/TE flex spot.

I give:
Lamar Miller

I get:
Steve Smith

My team:
RBs - Eddie Lacy, Lamar Miller, Toby Gerhart, Carlos Hyde, Jerick McKinnon
WRs - Brandon Marshall, Roddy White, Michael Floyd, Golden Tate, Jordan Matthews, Cody Latimer

My WRs are already stacked and I actually need a reliable RB2 so my first impression was to decline. But looking further into it I think I might accept it.

The Dolphins are on a bye next week and Moreno could come back as early as week 6, making their backfield an annoying timeshare again. So I figure now is the time to sell high on Miller.

Steve Smith has had some fluky plays, but he's averaging 10 targets per game so I don't think his production is fluky. If he can get me 5-6 catches for 70 yards a week, that's more than enough to be my Flex.

If I accepted the trade my biggest problem would be my RB2. I could use Gerhart, but we saw yesterday that they're gonna need more than just Bortles under center to have a good run game. After his big breakout yesterday, I could risk using McKinnon. But his coach has already said that he'll continue to be a change of pace back. Not to mention that he did all his damage against a bad Falcons defense. Then again, even if I keep Miller, will he be a viable RB2 when Moreno comes back?

My other option would be to try and package Miller and another one of my WRs for a high end RB2. I'm gonna check the rest of the teams in the league to see if this is an option,

Any help? :nerd:

Nah like you said your receivers are already pretty stacked. Your RB's would be suuuper weak if you traded away Miller. It would be a better idea to package Miller and Floyd or Roddy for a better RB2.

I might roll with clay harbor.. he got 8 receptions his first game back.. and marcedes was getting a ton of targets in that offense

Seriously. And in the years posting in this thread, that may be the first time someone actually blamed NT for it.

Nick, I don't know about that trade. I was high on Lacy but he just can't get anything going. You made your points about McKinnon and Toby but then add in that Hyde isn't really blowing anyone away.

You think you can sell Golden Tate along with Miller for a RB in return?

I love Steve but is he keeping this pace up even with the targets? Joe's already been saying he wants to get Torrey more targets. Marshall and White are going to be steady and Floyd is getting most of the targets in AZ.

Need advice on what McCoy's value is these days.. His owner in my league is dropping hints that he wants to move him.. I look at his team and he only has Owen Daniel at TE.. I have both Julius Thomas and Donnell.. Thinking of offering Donnell + Brian Quick... Full pt PPR league... Thoughts? Too little? Too much? Quick hasn't scored less than 14 pts all year.

as a mccoy owner...i say thats too little

to sell low on a top 5 pick ( i took him #1) id expect a startable RB in return.

i got offered lacy straight up and declined

I'm in a keeper league so McCoy's value is still high. I've thought about offering him straight up for Antonio Brown since its PPR but that would leave me with Asiata, Fred Jackson, Bush and Chris Johnson as my RB's. Might be able to throw in Brian Quick to get Ivory from him too.

I'd have Antonio Brown, Demaryius and Cobb as my starting WR's.

I'm a shady owner as well and I expect at least a high end RB2 and a WR 2 or 3 in return. I have faith that chip Kelly will figure out ways to get shady the ball though so I'm holding tight on him since I'm 3-1 and in my big money league. Other owners with losing records to evaluate if he's worth holding on to though.

steve smith will continue to eat in baltimore. its week 4, he's not all of a sudden going to stop getting his targets.

That wasn't what I was trying to get across. I probably worded it wrong. I don't think Torrey is gonna keep getting 2 -4 a week and I think teams are gonna try and aim to stop Steve. I don't think there's going to be a huge difference between Steve, Roddy and Floyd going forward. I think they're all solid WR2. Just my two cents though.
