OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Also...for those of you that always hate on Berry and other FF guys...would love to see you guys put out your predictions/rankings/"love hate" every week to the entire country. It's damn near impossible to predict this stuff.

I like to read his fantasy football content. I don't base my lineup off of what he says, but it gives me info i might not have known like "Team A has given up the 3rd most touchdowns to TE's this year".

it's a resource.. like anything else.. use the info, but it isn't the gospel..

fantasy is like poker.. throughout the week you have to remember who you're playing with and against.. use your knowledge of the other individuals to your advantage when making trades (their team biases.. their inclination to make panic moves)

then just listen to the info that is out there and go with your gut.. for example: if you can, don't play a RB going up against the lion's defense.. that defense is tough and especially against the run

or look at stuff like if teams have to travel east to west and play the game at 1 west coast.. or if teams are coming off their bye.. or what's going on with their Oline if their a RB (see shady).. or if that RB has just played some so so defenses

then have to look at when to sell high on guys.. when to buy low.. like I feel like jimmy graham owners might be getting antsy at this point or shady owners

also at this point gotta look at teams records.. if you have a lil bit of a cushion, you can take a risk on guys who might be out a couple of weeks and wait for the upside (like jimmy graham).. or if you're in a real good position, someone like josh gordon

Since I am usually last on the waiver wire because of my good record I usually try and do my pickups a week before

What's the better start for next week

SF vs Rams or
Browns at home vs Tampa Bay

Good or Bad?

I give: Doug Martin and Jeremy Maclin

I receive: Shane Vereen and Larry Fitzgerald

standard league

I'd do it. Vereen is worth more in PPR but he is the lead back now. Just gotta hope Fitz can get back on track.

I ended up getting Bryce Brown but I feel like he is a waste of a roster spot

I guess we will have to see

He should be the lead back. I see Dixon getting goaline carries and 3rd and short.

Asiata was dropped should I pick him up? Would be dropping Eli.

Missed out on Tre Mason.

Don't. Sproles on the wire?

My Welker and Reggie Bush for his Emmanuel Sanders and Antone Smith?

PPR

Do it.

Alfred Morris or Shane Vereen this week?

Vereen.

Pick one, standard league non ppr.

Alfred Morris @ Dal
Tre Mason @ whoever he's playing

Both have tough match ups. I'd start Morris

Got Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown....didn't even use a waiver :smokin
Starting only Anthony Dixon this week though

my point. so i hate when berry says "sit this guy because such and such" when he has no freaking idea what could happen in the actual game. last week he wanted to sit russ wilson, star cutler, wasnt high in sammy, loved holmes, etc.

he only rides the hot hand like everybody else. people over at rotogrinders are much more spot on

i mean its hit or miss, thats why IMO

just take your own advice, dont rely on these "experts"

I'm considering starting Welker at wr this weekend over guys like Cpatt n Torrey in a ppr league.

My reasoning was that these Thursday games are typically lopsided, and if it goes that way I think the Broncos would be on the better side n Welker could be eating pretty well. RoOks talk about Cpatt on the page before is making me second guess this though.

currently I have McKinnon at the flex

So I know I posted that trade offer before, but what if it was changed to Welker and Bush for Sanders and Gerhart? Dude didn't wanna give up Antone Smith. Gerhart is pretty useless at this point but I just needed an extra bench RB. I have Julio and Cobb at WR so Sanders would be my flex and I'd still have Hopkins and Beckham on the bench.

tempted to play him but i gots to get this damn W no matter what.

Oliver and THomas better ball out tomorrow man. I gotta take a big lead going into sunday

Need some advice on my roster in one of my leagues. Should I look to trade for a RB? I feel like I have wayyy too many WRs and my RBs leave something to be desired.

Marshall/Tate/Floyd/White/Beckham will constantly give me headaches on deciding who to start. And my only dependable RB is Lamar Miller. I do have McKinnon who is shaping up to be an RB2 but I feel he'll be inconsistent going forward.

Should I look for a trade? Or should I stay put? I'm sitting at 3-4, in 9th place (out of 12). Any help :\.
