OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

So, Reggie Wayne and Larry Fitzgerlad were both dropped during this past waiver wire, and I scooped up Larry Fitz, but to my surprise, Reggie Wayne is also out there ripe for the pickings.

The only question now is, should I drop anyone to get Wayne? I already have TY Hilton, and here's my crew.

QB- Cam Newton, Carson Palmer
WR- TY Hilton, Mike Wallace, Michael Crabtree, Cordarrelle Patterson, Larry Fitzgerald
RB- DeMarco Murray, Marshawn Lynch, Alfred Morris, Jerrick McKinnon
TE- Larry Donnell, Kyle Rudolph
K- Adam Vinatieri
D- Miami Dolphins.

The few names I was thinking was either Kyle Rudolph or Carson Palmer. I really need an upgrade at TE and was hoping waiting on Kyle Rudolph would be the answer. But I'm also afraid of dropping Carson Palmer right now because though we're in a 1 QB league, the pickings are very slim if Cam has any other bumps in the road.

For my flex PPR McKinnon or J. Hill ?
I'm in the same situation, but for my RB2 spot. I have Gio but luckily handcuffed him with Hill. On paper it looks like Hill by a longshot, but the Jags have been really tough against the run over the last few weeks. McKinnon's matchup isn't too good either though. I'm probably gonna go with Hill just because the Bengals offense is better overall, and I expect them to be winning/feeding Hill carries to kill the clock. Not to mention AJ Green will be back so that gives the whole offense a boost.

For those of y'all asking start and sit questions, check out this website. The guy has a weekly article for the new york times. He takes the consensus rankings from the fantasy pros website that gathers projections from a 100 or so "fantasy experts", runs them through an algorithm that produces tiers. He says to starts the guys in the higher tiers or if players are in the same tiers, flip a coin. Just like any fantasy site, no one is right 100 percent of the time, but the more resources you can gather to make your decisions, the better.

My C-patt & J.Charles for his Hilton & Mckinnon? What do you guys think of that deal. (My other rb are Ellington, Tate, Bradshaw) Standard format

who are your other WRs?

As talented as Patterson is, he's basically has zero fantasy value in that offense.

Hilton has huge upside with Luck as his QB.

Sproles, Crabtree, or T-Will in my flex spot?

I got Doug Baldwin and Garcon as my WR's and Shady as my RB1 and Ingram who played last night :pimp:

they had KB as tier 2 WR...the algorithm must've not factored in cam newton

Honestly, does it even matter?

I have Sims in 2 leagues, but what have Martin and Rainey done up until this point to make us think that Sims will be able to succeed on that team? Is he really that much more talented? The offensive line is a huge part of why these RBs in Tampa "suck". I'll be happy if Sims comes in and starts cooking, but I'm not holding my breath.

I hear you on that  anything from him would be nice. Like you said I'm not holding my breath either, but we'll see.

Ball wasn't running well, and Hillman is.None of the Jags backs were running well, and Denard is.It's def worth taking a shot on Rainey or Sims

Anyone actually starting Sims this week? Contemplating starting him in the flex (PPR), but I feel the following week vs ATL will be his true breakout game.
