OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

auction drafts are real fun. Doing one Friday the 29th
auction drafts definitely take more "skill" and you will more likely than not end up with someone you didn't really want. trying to bluff guys out by bidding AP to like 68 when the budget is 200, for example.

however, there's no way in hell i'm doing an auction draft without friends/co-workers. i can't imagine doing some auction draft online with strangers via yahoo's pro $ league. say goodbye to 3-5 hours.

I know it's just preseason but Terrance Williams looked like he wasn't even part of the offense last night. They didn't look his way a single time the whole first quarter that he played. Thought they'd be really trying to get him some targets.

He had bomb that wouldve been a td had weeden not underthrow it.

Trust me, hes without a doubt the #2 WR on that team

Had the 2nd pick in my big money league last night and I feel happy about my team, took a risk on Josh Gordon but hey that's what fantasy's about sometimes  12 team non-PPR league, how'd I do?

QB: RG3
WR Jordy Nelson
WR Victor Cruz
WR Brandin Cooks
RB LeSean McCoy
RB Zac Stacy
TE Kyle Rudolph
FLEX Michael Floyd
K Matt Bryant
D/ST Tampa Bay

BN Jay Cutler
BN Jeremy Hill
BN Hakeem Nicks
BN Danny Woodhead
BN Jared Cook
BN Josh Gordon

Well signed up for a 100 dollar pro league last night to be drafted tonight haha

I figure drafting early will let me get Gordon/manziel with my last two picks haha well see how it goes. I hate 10 teams tho cuz everybody's stacked. Lotta luck. I think in gunna draft one of the big 3 tight ends to give myself the biggest advantage

Joiuque Bell or Ben Tate? There has been reports that Bell could actually take more snaps than Bush.. and you have to figure Bell will get the snaps near the goal line. I'm not really sold on either guy, particularly Tate but Cleveland will depend on Tate as their sole back correct?

Just read up on his off-season, will watch Monday night for West. I was asking between Bell and Tate as an RB2 in a 12 team league... the position gets really interesting after the obvious top 5 and 10 backs

Bell. Bush won't be the starter by week 6

Yeah a lot of RB's with something to prove this year, don't see as many sure backs as I do receivers so I might get my 2 RBs before I go WR depending on who slides to me.

Looking at the WR pool, it's real deep, a lot of guys who seem ready to make a jump. Was looking at WR4's/FLEX's in a simulation in 12 team league and had names like Golden Tate, K. Wright and T. Williams on the board (after I had already drafted AP and J. Bell as my RB's and J. Nelson, Jeffery and Hilton as my WR's). I'll take that.

Golden tate will eat in that offense man. Still gonna be inconsistant as hell but bet he'll have 3-4 games where he has like 110+ yards and 2 TD's or something like that

I know it might seem like a lot of work, but I suggest those of you who are serious and are in money leagues, MAKE YOUR OWN TIERS/AUCTION VALUES/RANKINGS

It'll help you gauge your personal preference on players.

Vereen is fine for me as an RB2... unless he gets hurt. I would trade Arian Foster for Vereen probably.

I don't trust Vereen as an RB2 at all mostly because I don't trust his coach. I heard White was turning heads at Pats' camp as well. Vereen will get his catches though I just don't like the Pats' platoon fantasy wise

Vereen was eating last year when he wasn't hurt. Was a huge part of my 1st round playoff win. 12 catches 153 yards. He actually averaged a little over 16 points per game last year in PPR leagues. Not saying he's gonna repeat that, but that's a very respectable RB2.

If he was healthy for the whole season and kept up that pace, he would've been the 6th overall RB.

If I can get him anywhere between rounds 5-7 I'll be taking him this year. Maybe even as early as 4.

Damn that's nuts. I think it comes down to stubbornness and preference on my part

Ridley is not dependable and White is a rookie so I'm sure Vereen's place in the system is well cemented.

^ Yeah man don't sleep on him . He'll be a nice value pick in PPR drafts this year imo.

between the 3 Pats RBs....... I would rather just take a stab at the rook in the last round

after trying to mess with the Pats backfield for like 3 years straight now, I'm over the headache.

Good stuff Nick, you may have swayed me to take a flier on him as at least a FLEX. Just have to see how my league views him
Yep even better as a Flex. Alot less risk than depending on him as your RB2. My boys laughed at me when I drafted him in the 11th last year. I got the last laugh though :pimp:.

I'll agree that the Pats RB situation isn't always ideal . I just think Vereen's role in the offense is kinda sorta set in stone, and PPR owners can really take advantage of it. Not to mention, when Ridley starts fumbling his carries will rise .

had the 3rd overall pick in a 12 team standard league, went into the draft with the mindset of drafting players from the NFC East division because of their high Over/Under totals meaning more scoring opportunities, i have another 10 mean league draft coming up. What do you guys think and what do i need to work on
