OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Doesn't matter when Cameron is 100 times better than every other receiving option they'll have.

it matters a great deal man. if shannon doesnt draw up good plays to get cameron the ball, then it won't matter. thats what norv is so great at

Quick question, standard 8 team league with scoring changes for QBs and DEFs. QBs get 1 point for every 20 yards rather than 25, 6 per TD (not sure if that is default or not) and defenses get 2 points per sack, 3 points per turnover, 1 point for every 3 and out, and the points allowed were changed from 10, 7, 4, 1, 0, -1, -4 to 15, 7, 5, 2, -1, -2, -4. How would this affect where you draft a QB and DEF?

Its not even about play design... Cameron is soft and once teams focused on him he was shut down easily most games

Gordon takes a safety off him and leaves him defended by backers alot... That wont happen this year. Hell be target numero uno to shut down by DCs. I like Graham. gronk. Thomas. Rudolph. Olsen. Pitta. More and guys like ertz. Reed. Ldg just as much. I want Cameron to be the star he was for about a 6 game stretch last yr i jus dont see it. Alrdy nursing a shoulder. Hes a marked man without much help

I'll have Julius available to me in my TD league but I'm thinking about just waiting a few rounds and grabbing Ertz. Seems like he's going to be a big red zone guy for Philly.

12 team ppr, worth the wait the draft him?

thinking to swoop LG as a back up just in case

I'm 90% sure I'm going to wait to get him in my 12 man TD league.

Yea, Pitta's heavily been overlooked this year. Dude's gonna have a nice year.

no shots, but you lost me at 8 team league

 they are fun as hell. We used to do an 8 team league with just people in our group...I think it was 2 QB's, 4 WR's, 3 RB's, 1 TE, 2 Flex and 1 D...take that garbage kicker position out...$250 a person winner take all. That was fun and competitive as hell.

"Whatever questions existed about Jordan Cameron entering last season, he answered them emphatically. He's a star. Cameron ranked third at his position in both receptions (80) and targets (117) last year, and second in receiving yards (917). He was at his best with Brian Hoyer behind center, but he also managed to catch TD passes from a pair of sketchy quarterbacks (Weeden, Campbell) and a punter. Cameron is a hyper-athletic player, not limited in his route-running, and he's entering a contract year."

"In the two full games last season in which Hoyer and Cameron were on the field together, the tight end caught 16 passes for 157 yards and four touchdowns."

Dude i get that stats and his partnership with Hoyer, hes ******* good. But just dont expect his stats from last season. Theres a reason Rudolph is getting so much hype due to Norv in Minny. He had a 45+ yard TD last week. It's already beginning lol. For value id rather have Kyle 2-3 rounds later than cameron

How do you think I did guys? 12 team ppr and I was the 10th pick. Was thinking of drafting Murray instead of gio but think gio is gonna go off especially in ppr
Qb- romo
Rb- gio bernard, vereen, rice, sankey, devonta freeman
Wr-d. Thomas, alshon, Patterson, kendall Wright, boykin, Josh gordon
Te- ladarius green, ebron

Rudolph is only going a round later than Cameron in the leagues I'm in. He also has AP, Patterson and Jennings to contend with for targets. Cameron is THE guy for the Browns and Hoyer. I really don't understand how an even more expanded role is going to decrease his numbers this year. How far down do you guys REALLY see his numbers going? I honestly see him putting up 1,000 yards and 8 TD's this year.

Is AP the consensus 1st overall pick???

We should put that up as a poll

rudolph was always td dependent. if its 5 yards out and in the redzone, rudolph is getting the play. 5 yards in itll be AP.

Cameron is the better play in ppr, and i could see him put up those numbers.

Lol you guys still arent getting my point. PRIOR to Norv being there he has been td dependent, but looking at norv track record he is going to transform kyle into the player the Vikes paid $30+ million to this summer. The OC's before norv never knew how to use Kyle in the offense, which caused him to underperform.

In leagues im drafting in he's creeping up but still 2-3 rounds later than cameron.

I can almost bet on everything he ends the season #4 in fantasy TE points. 800 yards, 8+ TD's.

I can also almost bet on everything that Cameron will finish with more than 800 yards and somewhere between 8-10 TD's.

Nope he won't. Its not happening without Norv there. I BET he puts up 550+ 5+ TD's.

in the 2nd half of the season he only had 31 catches and 1 TD dog...In EIGHT games. Once teams started to know how to cover him it was over. His numbers are overflated due to his 3 TD game against Minny in like week 3-4.

Moral of my story is im banking Kyle wayyy more this season instead of Jordan lol
