OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Thanks for the responses guys! Looks like I'll stand pat for now. The offers intrigued me so I had to ask.

Does Dez concern you at all moving forward or do you fully expect him to get back to beasting weekly?

Need a tight end off the waiver wire til Reed comes back since my Clay trade didn't go through.

Niles Paul, Zach Miller, Jared Cook, Kelce or Quarless?
Kelce by far. Dominant preseason. Would be better-known if not for last year's injury.

Am I wrong for being in his same position and considering Marcedes Lewis?
Kelce over Lewis. Far more upside. We know the player Lewis is in J-Ville. Garrard isn't walking through that door to feed him.

Shane Vereen or Torrey Smith at the flex this week? :nerd: Smith wasnt what I was hoping for last week
And :pimp: at the Gordon news, glad I picked him up when someone dropped him right after our draft. Dez, Alshon, and him if he gets reinstated, let them boys cook for me at WR.
Torrey. Disappointing W1, but last season had 16/154/1 against the Steelers in two games.

My money league limits rosters to 5 WR's :smh:

I already have D. Thomas, J. Jones, V. Jackson, G. Tate and K. Wright

Herns, Cooks, Benjamin and Gordon are still on waivers :smh:  I'm not going to drop any of my current WR's but God I want at least Benjamin
Keeper? Could consider dropping Wright first or Tate for KB if you really believe in his long-term potential.

Will Steve Smith have a solid year this year or was Week 1 Fools Gold?
Smitty is a WR3/Flex this year. He can defy age because he's an experienced veteran, very physical, and runs exceptional routes. Plays with a chip on the shoulder.

You'd go Kelce vs Denver over Niles Paul vs the Jags this week?
Yes.

Would y'all drop Cody Latimer for Brian Quick?

Kinda wanna hold on to Cody as a stash for later this year, but Quick is the clear #1 in St.L now too.
Probably not. Latimer is a deep stash/flier for red-zone TD, but nothing Quick did at Appalachian State or his first two years in STL indicate he's the player from W1.

Dezzy is going to catch 90 balls, give you 1,200 yards plus 10+ TD. Last year he started with 4/22 against the G-Men in Dallas' opener.

Offered Cruz for Ellington and Kendall Wright.
You might have to add a RB Filler if he rejects. Favors your side.

All I have is Freeman so I might ask for a diff receiver if he has an issue. Don't really need Kendall if Gordon comes back but I like to start high when negotiating.

I have #1 waiver priority, should i pick up Allen Hurns? How do I know dude isn't just Cecil Shorts III?

Spoken like a true businessman. Always extract more blood out of the stone.

I'm outspoken against Hurns. His W1 was likely a flash in the pan.

Pick 2/3 to start this week:

Emmanuel Sanders
Brandin Cooks
Michael Floyd

Marshall is my WR1 so he's obviously starting. One of those is gonna be my WR2 and the other at Flex.

Considering dropping Jones-Drew and picking up Forsett off the wire. Also need a replacement TE if Jordan Cameron goes and gets injured. Kelce and Delanie are still available on the wire. Any suggestions?

Floyd is your WR2. The torch may soon be passing from Fitz to the former ND product. Sanders gets the Flex start. KC lost Derrick Johnson for the season. Their defense and team as a whole is on the path to '14 doom.

Walker is safe and steady. The conventional play. Kelce is boom-or-bust. More upside.

If Kenny Stills is still out I have a hard time keeping Cooks on the bench. He looked electric. I'll temper that though considering they played Atlanta. Cleveland allowed a big day for Big Ben and company though. Brees looks like he's almost relying on Cooks already. Cleveland could make a conscious effort to shut down Cooks though...

Sanders might feast considering KC will definitely pay extra attention to Julius Thomas. Of course D. Thomas will get his fair share of focus so Sanders could Decker KC again.

Giants are just terrible defensively.. Floyd should flourish too and Palmer was looking to bomb against the Chargers.

You have tough decisions LOL

I guess it's better to have too many instead of not enough options right?

Should Jamaal Charles owners be worried?

Considering dangling an offer like Lacy + Demaryius for Charles + WR (Cruz, Wallace, Desean Jackson). How would this be? It's a PPR, 6pt TD rec, 4pt rush TD scoring format.

So many overreactions after the 1st week  I usually wait until the 4th to consider making a trade.

What do you guys think about Larry Fitz?

Should i trust him to bounce back next week or roll with Kelvin Benjamin or Julian Edelman

Sitting Cooks W2. Sankey is a rookie and hasn't earned his stripes. Only 6 carries in his debut.

D-Jax and KB for me.

Foles. Could be a high-scoring affair.

I would give Fitz the start. His career body of work is enough equity for another week. Palmer should target him more than 4 times. Although KB had a great debut and Minny's pass D is ripe for the picking for Edelman.
