OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Greg will be a very solid, if unspectacular, pick this year. He && Kelvin Benjamin will likely rank 1 && 2 in terms of targets from Cam this year, && I think Olsen will lead the Panthers in receiving yards again this year. Could be a career year for him...def. slept on.

blah blah blah

we hear the sammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmme rhetoric about Olsen EVERY YEAR. He is the most mediocre fantasy TE there is. Always over valued. I'd never draft him he brings nothing to the table.

I picked him at 70th or 71st pick I think. He was drafted in 5th round in a yahoo league I did on saturday. You can never predict those runs on qbs

Olsen's received well over 100 targets in each of the last two seasons. Should nab 70 balls with 5-6 TD.

Huge believer in Luck. You already have good depth at RB/WR, but I might have passed on Ryan and opted for a lesser QB2 to plug-in Week 10 for Luck's bye.

Any of you use Fantasy Pros?

I did their promo for their upgraded draft wizard/ mock simulator thru draftkings and the draft sim is GREAT for keeper leagues.

You can plug in your keepers and everyone elses and it will sim the draft with available players.

@ChampCruThik  I just got lucky and took Forte and DT fell to me at 7 and my team is stacked.

:x  If the draft fell like this for me...

Rodgers was in the 3rd with my 1st 3rd rounder, Keenan with the 2nd. Sankey in the 6th.
Sucio. Second or third best QB in fantasy. Two top-8 WR's. Not to mention Keenan Allen is a top-15 guy himself at the receiver position. Ellington carries some risk, but Sankey is a vogue RB2/Flex pick. I like Hill, think he can steal goal-line TD from Gio.

TE a little weak if I had to nitpick. Bennett nor Walker are top-10 or top-12 guys at the TE position.

Yeah I have to pick my spots since I have no picks in the 9th-11th.  Try to do TE by committee if there's no one worth picking early-mid.

^ That's just a mock, @RoOk  ... But I suppose its possible that it could fall somewhat similarly... Most of the mocks I've done dont have the RB talent there in the 3rd and 6th like that one did.

Instead of Bennett or Walker, take a look at Ertz, Green, Allen/Fleener, and Eifert. Much later, Robinson and Rodgers.

Thinking about sleeper TE's made me flash back to last year when I was bout to draft Sudfeld in the 10th.

I think I drafted his bum *** last year (or picked him up immediately off waiver wire) after I'd already nabbed Gronk  :smh:

I pushed and lost that one on Sudfeld. Couldn't learn the offense or run the right routes. Although I did hit on Gronk in 2011 and Cameron in 2013. This year I'm big-upping Reed and Green the most at TE.

I like Reed alot, Green will be a greater value pick since I think Reed is gonna start sneaking up the draft board as the season approaches.

I wouldn't take Reed over Cameron, Pitta, or Witten. So if an owner reaches Reed, I'll wait for a Rudolph or Ertz type.

I would take Reed over Pitta, Witten is a toss up to me but I would lean toward Witten still, but not Cameron. Definitely wouldn't do that.

Rudolph will be nice, Norv Turner will make sure Rudolph puts in work. I remember reading that none of his top TE's have scored less than 7 TDs and only one has went for less than 700 yards.

Witten struggled for me last year.

Bastard.
Started strong first 5 weeks, faded as the season progressed. Tough, durable, reliable. Plays through injury. At least 64 receptions in every season in his career except his rookie campaign.

Yeah Rudolph will be pretty good this year. Vikes wouldnt given him all that money if they dont expect him to start putting together good seasons.

I still wouldnt reach for him though.

I've accepted he's virtually useless in non-PPR formats. An owner's hope is he nabs 6-8 TD.

Yea if Reed can avoid/get from under the black cloud of concussions this year, I think he'll be pushing for top 5 TE status.
