OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

I just don't understand how you think dez will be there in the second round. You cannot go buy these ham and eggs drafters from these mock draft sites that do not know anything about fantasy football. Dez will never make it out of the first round with guys that know how to draft

In a 10 team league? Yes he will.

Tried going with Graham at #8...did not like the results, esp. at RB :x :x
I know Jimmy is incredibly alluring. He's a rare player at the position. But going TE that early leaves you so vulnerable at the RB and/or WR positions. You can afford to nab a good QB, TE, and even WR in the middle rounds. RB, not so much. Not this season, IMO.

Here's the one thing I will caution all of you in here.

These "plans" you're coming up with, that you hope "go accordingly" 100% will not happen. So don't focus on your plan, focus on value and players you are targeting. Have 2-4 options at all times.

The last thing you want is to have a "plan" have it go wrong 2 picks before it's your turn and leave you scrambling. And when you scamble with 45 seconds to pick you're going to screw up often.

Just my 2 cents.
Sound advice. Got caught with rare panic in one of my baseball leagues. 4 keepers. Went Cliff Lee first pick to solidify my rotation with Kershaw and Darvish (two keepers). My second pick target went off the board before me and I rushed for Gio Gonzalez. With Kinsler, Segura, others on the board.

I like Shane Vereen (typically 6th round) a lot...and honestly don't hate the idea of Danny Woodhead if I have to wait that long.
Must be PPR. Even with that format, Vereen is on the outside looking in when compared to the top-25 fantasy RB's.

Congrats again on your engagement, BTW.

In a 10-team league, you don't feel it's plausible or acceptable Dez falls to #11?

Shady, AP, Charles, Forte, Lacy, Megatron, Beast Mode, DT, Martin, and Jimmy or Stacy or Morris.

I hope Banks flourishes in Lovie's system, I'm rooting heavy for Macklin and Jason Peters
Respect. Going to appreciate Mac9 in case this is his last year in Philly. Fingers crossed he remains healthy. Turned down a 5-year offer from the Eagles.

Can't blame him for betting on himself, he's going to be a good sleeper pick too

They're the only two around the end of 3rd early 4th that I consider taking in every mock draft, and always switch my picks up every time. Really not sure but leaning towards Ellington if the draft turns out that way.

Ellington or Spiller fellas?

I prefer Ellington this year. After drafting Spiller last year && watching BUF coaches grossly misuse him, I just don't trust them. Plus you got FJax, Bryce Brown, && possibly even Anthony Dixon stealing carries...Ellington has a bit less to worry about in that regard.

I'd lean towards Allen as well. A bit more value opposed to Cruz if you can nab him in the 4th.
