What up, for the next few weeks I'm a proctor for this bar review course. It's all streamed online, so all I have to do is press the start button and press the close button when it's over. I'm currently at the school sitting in the hallway watching Veep. They are paying me $15 an hour for this ish and am going to get the course for free when I take it and building my resume because I have an official sounding title "UMKC bar review course administrator" and a pretty solid description, but honestly...I don't do ish, don't even have to answer students questions. I could have went out there and interned for the entire summer, but I will be interning when this class is over, so I'll get that out the way later.

Who else out here working the system? Let's start a "summer job" thread.

If I had some I would. lol cute little blonde number. BRB, bout to take a...cough cough...break, probably not, but I got the option.

I don't really do much work either. My average day is going in and reading wsj/bloomberg/espn and then running a few reports
Then meeting with my md. After that is lunch
Do an hour or two of actual work after lunch then go to a bar. After that, wsj/bloomberg again and then decide whether to stay late to finish work or put it off till the next day. A few meetings/presentations in between

I wondering if most adult jobs are like this. Obviously someone is doing work, but I feel like 'professional' jobs aren't that much work. I hope I never get a job I hate. I need to be my own boss so I never feel like I'm working.

There will always be worker X(willing to work) and worker Y(needs to be moviated to work).

But I'm big chilling now. Everyone left from the office so I'm about to go hoop and lift.

20% of people do 80% of the work. Its a dynamic that works in just about every environment.

I work pretty hard, but that's because I feel useless if I'm not actively doing something constructive. I literally look for stuff to do if I'm bored at work.

Better than staring at the clock

I'm chillin, answering tweets for work and studying for a test at the end of the week. Good amount of money an hour to do this :pimp:

I have a six month up, six month down "season"....april-september down, october-may up....

and really only end of Jan thru beginning of Mar are work, per se...

I'm at my current job, applying to other jobs.

No dambs given
Same here. I have three jobs this summer and two internships lol. I always sit at one job and apply for other jobs; give that "looking at pron" quick screen switch everytime my boss walks by lol.

Whats up, I'm down for some Pogo Chess or Scrabble...maybe if we can get it going early in the day, some monopoly, who is in?

Humble brag... wish I had that feel.

But nah, i'm good.

Cruising the Vegas life! :smokin Graveyard in Vegas? :smokin :smokin :smokin

I know what you mean, I'm here reading books, watching tv, writing tv, playing chess, doing word games, researching for a later school project, applying for jobs for the fall. I wish i had a better, "more important" job, but whatever job I get isn't my long term, even if it leads to a job job, I plan on going solo fairly soon so I think I'm going to try and enjoy the ride and forget about how I didn't get the cool jobs my peers got, or how I'm not as well respected, but you know what...I'm pretty happy and chill so thats good, I think.
