exactly why they went with the 25 years post the ending of mk9 storyline so they could avoid all those awful post mk3 characters and create better ones

I played MK 1, 2, 3, 4, Trilogy, and MK9. I missed all that wild stuff in the middle. Where they that bad? I thought of collecting them since I am a huge MK fan

Changing like 30 moves let's call them "normals" and changing 2, 3 specials, not all of them is a difference, big one. Yes it changes how you play the character in key areas like, zoning, traps, strategy, etc. That's the point of being there. But you don't have to relearn your character basics completely like in ps2 games. So no it's not alike.  In 3rd Strike when you selected your super arts, that one change can completely change the strategy on how a character plays. Chun-Li with Kikoushou has a different approach compared to Chun Li with Hyokusen. MKX using preset styles is similar to the Super Arts selection in that regard. Meaning is NOTHING like PS2 era MK's with the in-battle stance switching.

We don't even know if this is the final roster. Anything can change prior the game going gold. 

Did you know when MK 2011 was announced it's pre-release selection screen only had 16 characters. (8 visible, 8 hidden)

It wasn't until PAX Prime in 2010 did the finalized select screen get revealed.



It's far too early to jump to any sort of conclusion.

We are talking about Mortal Kombat AND Ed Boon. The man loves to keep secrets. Any fan of MK should expect this, It's pretty much a given

Since Cassie Cage is the daughter of Johnny and Sonya I'm guessing they will just mend those 2 styles together and not include them in the game.

he was saying that there are some aged characters in there as well

hell you might have an old *** Raiden maybe the one from the movies without the hat but if it flows like taht story wise then most of the earth realm 

characters would be left off seeing how damn near all of them died

This is why Mortal Kombat is my favorite fighting game. That sounds so good.

yeah as far as earth realm goes the only cats that didnt get their soul taken was night wolf 

and I hope Kenshi makes a return

and hopefully reptile wont be slow as **** like in MK9 (played with him once didnt play with him again)

While true, mortal kombat isn't limited to cannon/source material such as an anime series, manga comics, and etc.
